True, the industry is changing, but the beer has too. When 120 first came out, despite the hype, it was absolutely phenomenal. Nowadays, it's just above average. Something is slightly different...

Birthday Bomb, Paradise, Agrestic, and Bretta Rose at CBC. All one per person.

Agrestic, Bretta Rose, Krieky Bones, and Lil Opal at Schneiders. No apparent limits.

Diamondback Green Machine at DTC. Looked like a couple cases left behind the registers.

Magruders also has Prairie Birthday Bomb, Paradise and the two Singlecut beers, no apparent limits.

Apparently CBC is bringing in Lord Hobo? I just tried Steal This Can a few weeks ago up in Rhode Island and wasn't that impressed. Anything to look out for?

I disagree. Most people that are into big beers (Barleywines, Old Ale etc) are well aware that DFH 120 is one of the more solid and tasty beers out there on the planet compared to the others making comparable style brews, that can be found with relative ease and relatively easy on the budget (usually $10 give or take for a bottle). I will be grabbing a bottle soon to add to my cellar (which has dwindled down to a slim pickins 8-10 bottles) for the right night to split with a good beer nerd friend.

Perhaps the hype train social media trollers are too busy chasing the latest NEIPAs or Florida Weisse's that are hard to acquire.

Has that Sierra Beer Camp Across the World pack hit the area yet? Looks like it landed already in a lot of states.

And re:120... It's on tap at the Milton brewery right now, and you can actually get it as part of the free sampler flight, which I did. I thought it still stands up as an interesting beer to drink, if a bit cloying for my palate these days. While there I was also thinking about how Dogfish pioneered a bunch of styles way before they trended in the last couple of years: Berliner Weiss (Festina Peche), fruited IPAs (Aprihop), barrel aging a hoppy beer (Burton Baton), etc. Now it seems like they're more playing catch-up to the current beer world, but I've liked some of the new things they've come with, like SeaQuench.

I picked up mine Friday at the TW in Alexandria, but I had seen it at the McLean TW the previous Sunday.

Does anyone know if any of those are left still at CBC? I missed this announcement sadly.

I picked up two at Magruders this past Saturday. I saw a box of Prairie stashed away on the bottom, so it looked like there were quite a few more.

Springfield TW has the Sierra Nevada Beer Camp 12 pack but you have to ask. They haven't set it out yet. Classic TW.

There's a good chance they still have it. When they got the 2016 Birthday Bomb release (and also Apple Brandy Noir, which is far, far better than Paradise), it lingered for like a week, even with me buying a bottle every day. I would call when they open tomorrow.

Thanks for the heads up! When is apple brandy noir or any of the noirs expected release for 2017? Has this passed or still months away?

Seems to have been officially "released" on Thursday or Friday in NOVA TW shops. I just hate how no one ever knows anything at TW.

If they are out, check Harry's Reserve near the Navy Yard -- they got a bunch in as well.

It's not just a new beer—it's twelve new beers in a single box!

So has anyone seen any regular drops of Finback or Sand City in the area? Probably just wishful thinking seeing Singlecut distribute every now and then....

I've never seen Finback in the area.
Aren't they relatively limited? I was able to pickup cans at Yankee Spirits near Tree House a few months ago but they were limited to 2 per person. I've never seen Sand City in our area. Your best bet is catching it on tap somewhere like Churchkey if they happen to nab some.
