Have heard a couple of good things about Vanish lately.

Never thought of going to Beltway but they've got some interesting stuff on tap. I'll have to keep an eye on their FB in the future.

tasty selection of beers for sure at Crooked Run, but holy shit, the taco stand inside the tasting room is awesome.

Hey man. I swung by Old Bust Head outside of Warrenton last Saturday. Beers were decent but very cool atmosphere with live music and food trucks in the back.

Black Flag, in Columbia MD, is pretty cool too. Good IPAs, DIPAs, and cool Star Wars murals on the wall, cuz who doesn't want to drink with Chewbacca

Bit late now but stopped by Saturday night after work. Still had St Lam on draft and a few very expensive bottles left.

Next time you are out that way head into Warrenton and check out Wort Hog Brewing Company. They've only been open a few months, but are doing a good job. They've been having fee music late afternoon on Saturday and a bbq caterer is typically there.

I'd head to leesburg next time you need to get out. could check out the crooked run there, then head to fireworks pizza and/or macdowell brew kitchen for food and decent tap lists. plus delirium cafe is opening this satuday (5/8). all of these are within a block or two of each other, so you can park once and walk.

also a handful of other breweries in the area (most are not super unique), with a couple being walkable from crooked run, etc.

The new bar at Whole Foods H St is pretty awesome. They had Lawsons Super Session and BCBS on yesterday and a few other interesting selections. The beer aisle itself wasn't nearly as good as P St though - hopefully that will change, but CBC is just a block or two away if you want to grab bottles.

The bar is nice but their beer list still pales in comparison to this one.

^ That looks pretty darn good, but that's obviously not the norm there, in my experience at least. With more than twice as many taps (16), I think H St will consistently be a better choice based on the taps alone. Then there's the matter of being able to hang out in a cool space with TVs as opposed to a cafeteria for grown-ups...

Singlecut DDH Workers Are Going Home is at CBC. Drinking one now-- maybe not my favorite beer from them, as it seems a touch sweet to me (though I'm spoiled by having been drinking Trillium from a recent Boston trip ), but damn good.

Do they still sell them as singles, or can you buy a 4 pack now?
