They're doing 4-packs now. I think mine came out to around $24 after tax.

I'll probably pick up a can or two, but some of their higher ABV beers are too sweet/yeasty IMO. And they do not age well at all. A 6 week old WAGH was a drainpour for me. It was nasty.

Does anyone know where you can find reliable info on what local Whole Foods have on tap? I know there's that beer menus website but it's crowd sourced and typically out of date.

I have used http://tapspotting.net/ in the past - crowd sourced but it is an aggregate of a couple of sites

The crowd sourced data is usually only for business that don't maintain their own account. If it says "List Updated on X" it means it is being maintained by the business. I generally update our menu 2-3 times per week.

I usually just call since the beermenus site is usually somewhat out of date. The P st. location usually updates their list, but most others do not

Looks like the Goose Island Cooper Project 4 packs are hitting the area as of last night. Anybody try yet? Worthwhile?

Heading to DC for Memorial Day weekend with my family, doing lots monuments and museums, so not a lot of time to hunt for beer, but what should I look for? I know 3 star is supposed to be good and I am familiar with DC Brau, what other brews should I taste if I get the chance?

I wouldn't go out of your way to visit 3 stars or DC brau, but you can find them all around town in cans and on draft. Nothing worth bringing home with you from either, they're fine breweries but nothing you can't get elsewhere.

Look for Ocelot, Right Proper, and Bluejacket (hit or miss, but they've been better recently). Depending where you go, you might be able to find Veil and Tired Hands on tap (The Partisan is fairly close to the mall and often has them on tap)

    I
I second what ScottDC said about 3 stars and DC Brau. You can always look for Hardywood stuff, which you don't likely get in CT and is generally good. Most of the locally produced cans and bottles are probably not worth transporting back home, but DC likely has good selection of breweries you dont have access to in CT. If you post which neighborhood you are staying in, we can point you to a few of the better bottle shops and bar/restaurants to seek out if you have time.
