Saw a bunch at TW Springfield a few days ago too. This really has turned into a shelf beer.

Anyone have an opinion on the Bluejacket can releases?

I've gone for Turning Road and Lost Weekend cans. The first round, the cans were very full and no matter how carefully you opened them, it would spray a bit of beer on the counter. Minor gripe, but the second time it wasnt an issue. That being said, both rounds of cans tasted fresh and I knocked them down within a couple of days. tl;dr My opinion is favorable.

^ That was my opinion at first as well, but they degraded more rapidly than any beer I've ever purchased. The first batch of Turning Road was garbage after about 3 weeks. I've had the same experience with that beer on draft, so it makes me think its not just growing pains with the canning line.

So much more clever to do that by signing up with a use name that doesn't incorporate your store name and then just post that such and such beer is at your venue.

Is the SA NEIPA expected to be easy to find in stores? I haven't seen any yet. Just wondering. Would like to at least try it. Found New Belgium and Sierra Nevada's takes on the style to both be very respectable.

Probably a longhsot but does anywhere in DC/NOVA have Rothaus Pils reasonably fresh?

CBC on H St has it but it's almost at its best by date. Which could be close to a year old at this point.

Rothaus has a 6-Month shelf life. Ask to be put in our request book (CBC) and we can call you when we get a fresh batch in.

Dont know if there is a thread for this but it seems Savor Week is looking SAD! Maybe worst then last year.

Uh, I don't think anyone has announced their events yet.

Having CBC here less than two months before Savor is what really detracted last year imo. I expect that NRG and the Pints will step it back up this year.

Not Savor week yet, but a limited drop of Crooked Stave is available at Craft Beer Cellar DC now!

Yea I was kind of worried about that, but I think there will be a flurry of announcements over the next week. MP is doing Fremont, Jack Rose already has two on their calendar including a pretty cool looking one Wednesday, and I'm sure CK will drop 4-5 days of stacked offerings since they've done events in the past with a lot of the Savor breweries. Also would presume they'll have BA Abraxas on draft since it's being poured at the Brewers Brunch.

I know when Savor week is but there is no reason to spam your business.

It's a notable releases thread, and a special drop of well-regarded, out-of-distro sours strikes me as notable. erikag's post is basically what this thread was created for. No reason to crap on it.
