My wife is staying very close to the Capitol tonight & tomorrow. Any chance of any other Firestone Walker 21 sightings? I'd love to have her bring one home. Thanks.

Craft Beer Cellar had some a few days ago. Might be worth calling to ask.

As of last night, TW Mclean had plenty of Hopslam on the floor. Some OTWOA as well.

Every year I wonder whether Hopslam has gotten worse or if my preferences have just changed that much over the years. I distinctly remember declaring Hopslam my all-time favorite beer back in 2011. A year later, I was over it. I wonder if trying Hill Farmstead's IPAs for the first time in between had something to do with that . . .

If they could send down some Edward, that would be great.

1st Meal, Fresh Js were both really solid. Pulpsicle was absolutely fantastic. One of the best of this style. Amazing flavor without the huge abv or cloying sweetness that often accompanies. @jacewg any chance it'll be on at MP or Smoke (ipa event) in the coming weeks?

I was wondering what was happening! I’d seen Anna and Arthur at several places around town in recent weeks (EatBar, Partisan, Red Apron) without any explanation or fanfare. What wonderful news!

Plenty of FW21 left at WFP. Has been there for at least a week now.... Is it not good?

    $13+/12oz

Had it on draft at ChurchKey. It was good, but not on the same level as the few previous anniversary beers.

It's 42% Velvet Merkin, which really holds it back (and probably limits its aging potential). The last few FW anny blends were better because they went heavier on Parabola and Stickee Monkee.

Yea not sure why they would lean on Merkin for an Anny beer. Just doesn't make a lot of sense given that it's one of the least complex BA beers they do. Either way Sucabas imminent return should make everything in the world better.

New spot opening up in Fairfax..Looks like it's not open to the public quite yet, but the beer list is as good as I've seen and the food sounds intriguing.
