KBS in TW in McLean, no limit on 4pks but a limit of one 750ml bottle

Weird that there would be a limit on $20 bomber but not a $26 four pack. The opposite was true in Springfield TW: one four pack per but no limit on the bomber.

No worries, you can get KBS year round at the Safeway on Lee Hwy. They still have 4 packs from last year even. Same with BCBS. Turding it up.

Wish I had know this so I could have told the guy behind me in line about it. He was complaining that he wanted to buy the entire stock and that he was going to have to drive to multiple Totals to buy it one four pack at a time.

Didn't realize KBS still brings those type's out. I've been casually buying KBS pretty much monthly for the past year, and then there's this guy stressing out about getting his hands on cases of it. MOM's usually has it in stock as well. Really not a hard beer to get a hold of anymore.

Interesting. Hopefully there will be enough support for both places.

Anyone know if Other Half is still coming to Ivy City?

Quite the markup for this Veil release at the Bruery. Dirty Miata sells for $15/4 pack at The Veil, and it's going for $23 at the Bruery. Geez.

    If true, that's shitty.

Would have considered swinging by early afternoon in hopes to avoid any line, but looks like it's going to be packed. Pass.
Anyone going to Downtown Crown for the Equilibrium stuff? I tried to get it at Dominion a couple of months ago, but that stuff sold in less than an hour. Wondering if it's going to be the same allotment?

The prices for the EQ stuff at DTC are probably going to be outrageous. MOCO'd. They were insanely high at Dominion, so will be even more expensive at DTC. I'm at a point I can't justify spending more that $20 a 4 pack...on anything. Way too much good beer out there at cheaper prices.

You're better of just driving down to Richmond...or just go to Churchkey on most days of the week. They always have Veil stuff on. They are treating this like it's the first time people have seen Veil in DC. Gotta create that FOMO somehow.

It's on BrueryDC's instagram. I think the increased prices are due to Bruery taking a cut as well.

IDK could be a situation where the two business support each other by attracting people to the area. I would be headed to RP if I'm in that area though.
I said to my friend yesterday "if I want to get Veil, I can just go to Richmond" - which sounds like less of a hassle than having to wait in line for an hour or two or get price gauged. Or yes, Churchkey.

I go the the Veil a couple times a year. But for some people, especially those who make salaries in the six figures, it seems like $8 extra per four pack wouldn't be such a bad cost if it meant avoiding I-395/95 traffic. Especially for those who don't own a car.

True, I wasn't ripping on those going. It just isn't how I want to spend my Saturday morning/afternoon. I am fortunate enough to be able to try their stuff periodically and I will be making a trip down at some point. That's just my situation.

These pop ups are cool though. Anything that brings different breweries to the DC area is a good thing IMO.

Dominion has Veil on draft pretty regularly too. I had Step Dad3 at Churchkey last night and it was killer.
