Say this for NEIPA producers. Say they’ve successfully pushed the price people are willing to spend for an IPA.

This is DC. We're all rich.

I've never seen it over $12.99, and compared to other comparable IPAs, yes it is quite affordable.

It's (IPA X, not the regular IPA) $13.99 at Total Wine, $17.99 for the DDH version...4 packs of 16oz cans. I personally wouldn't classify either of those beers as 'super affordable' for the style, more like average.

It's a few bucks cheaper in DC, but you're right. I guess brands like Commonwealth, Veil, Singlecut etc... have skewed my perception of what people are willing to pay for a 4-pack.

Is Aslin allowing others to fill growler now? I know at Dominion Wine and Beer, they don't (or didn't as of fairly recently) sell Aslin or The Veil beers to go because that's part of the agreement they have with the breweries that allows them to get the kegs. Maybe this has changed.

I don't know if Dominion has changed how they do things, but The Brew Shop has a couple of Aslin beers on for fills. That is to say, I don't know what different shops' policy is or agreement is with Aslin, but Aslin does allow others to do fills.

Yes, at Whole Foods at least.

K1 has been getting Aslin kegs for growler fills lately.

TW Springfield has 2020 Parabola and Brothers Resolute out on the shelf. They had a few 4-packs of Barrel Aged FIDY in what used to be the limited release area, too. I was just there to snag some Bigfoot to put to bed in the cellar and came away with more than expected.

Glen's is doing growler fills of Triple Crossing Last Broadcast for $18+tax, which I'd guess is less than what 4 packs cost at the brewery given it's a double. Either way, pretty tasty stuff that definitely stands up to a lot of the other half I've been drinking over the last 6mo and it's one of the better TC's I've had.

^ High praise in my book. Might need to swing by there this weekend for a pour - thanks for the heads up, @rightcoastn.

Edit: Looks like it's now Ivory Tower.

There's a store in Columbia Heights that has Aslin for growler fills. I think now that Hop & Wine started distro in DC it can be basically sold anywhere. Haven't seen any cans, though.

Apologies if this was covered in last year's thread, but does anyone know if the Atlas location at Nationals Park will be open in time for the season?

Yeah, interesting. A few people chimed in and I realized after I posted that all contracts have their own terms. Actually at DWB now and see the one (relatively “core”) Aslin is available in G/Crowlers here.

I believe that's the plan, though I wouldn't be surprised if that drags into May or June. It will good to have another option close to the stadium, if nothing else to take some of the pressure off of BJ.

Last I heard they were looking sometime this spring, but I don't know exactly when. Assuming things didn't get held up, I'd say it will be open within the first month.

Looking forward to that location (despite the crowds) as it's a lot easier for us to visit via public transportation than the original location. Dance of Days is still one of my favorite hoppy beers I've had since moving to the DMV.

Just noticed New Anthem Beer Project from Wilmington NC will have taps at Churchkey next Thursday 2/20 and a can drop at the Bruery store Saturday 2/22. Fantastic stuff from those guys. Check it out

My parents live just outside wilmington, so I've had their stuff quite a bit. I very much agree they churn out fantastic beer.
