Got confirmation that the Horus stuff did, in fact, kick.

They had run out by the time I got there. Tried a couple of Hommage and a couple of Cellarmakers. Best beer I had was the Cellarmaker Baby Blammo! It was a good visit otherwise.

I've only been to OH DC once but I loved their outdoor area, I really enjoyed the Cellarmaker I had there at the time as well. The only crappy thing is the parking in the area but it's no worse than parking in the Gowanus or Williamsburg.

There's a parking garage up the street that has 90 minutes free parking fwiw. We ended up staying a bit longer so I had to pay, but that's a good fall back vs getting towed or stressing about street parking in that area. I don't know if I will be back to OHDC but it is a good spot for sure.

I visited Wheatland Springs and Other Half DC this weekend. I really enjoyed both places.

Wheatland Springs was awesome. I’m usually an IPA guy, but I enjoyed all of the beers that I tried, and none of them were IPAs or pale ales. Of the 12 beers they had n draft, only 2 were pale ales. I need to visit them more often.

The Other Half DC location was really nice, I really enjoyed the 3 IPAs that I tried. They had 20 beers on tap, 41 varieties in cans to drink on site, 2 bottles for onsite drinking, and 28 different cans & bottles to go. The taproom was pretty roomy, with seating both indoors and outdoors. If you like their beers, you can’t go wrong with a trip to their taproom.

If anyone is interested in Snallygaster, tickets go onsale this Friday, $60 for regular, and $120 for Basilisk aka VIP. No beer list yet.

Well, if you're into slushies, it looks like Dominion got a ton of that stuff from 450 North and others.

Good, they can keep on driving past NoVA. The last thing we need is more mediocre fruited sours and NEIPAs in $20+ 4/packs.

Let me guess. We need more boring lagers, and old school IPA's which are now the inferior IPA style?

My gripe is petty, I know. The veil (and triple crossing) are physically driving past places like Dominion, The Brew Shop, Arrowing, etc to deliver cans to Dominions sister location, DTC. Why can't they stop here or allow crowlers of kegs?

It may be because Virginia can get a ton of places to ship to them but Maryland doesn't allow shipping.

Just a PSA: If anyone snagged the Hudson Valley/Veil collab Curtains IX, you should probably open them sooner rather than later. All three of mine were infected and went down the drain last night. Untappd check-ins show a clear turn starting about a month ago, but at least some people are still having luck with bottles that don't show signs of infection yet. If you have a problem bottle, contact the brewery. They gave me a voucher for the cost of my bottles to make it right. Hope you all have better luck than I did.

Going to be in DC for about a week in late July. We'll be staying near Cleveland Park. Any recommendations on restaurants with decent tap lists? Also, any restaurant recommendations in general are appreciated.

This is too broad to answer, what kind of food are you looking for?

I'm just looking for people to give their own personal favorites. Type of food doesn't matter to me.

It's not super close to Cleveland Park, but the Salt Line near Nationals Park has really good food and a good beer list. Nice area on the water too.

The Sovereign is supposed to reopen at some point - that might be a good option for a Belgian focused beer list. The Berliner in Georgetown usually has a pretty good taplist. My favorite restaurant in Georgetown is probably Lutece which is a cute French bistro. I'd also recommend L'Annexe if you want cocktails. Pizza Paradiso (both Dupont and Georgetown) usually has a good taplist too.
