Closing the loop on this. Per the brewery, canning dates are sorta indented into the label to the left of the skull and over by the writing. Mine are hard to read, but, as best I can tell, they look like they're dated 1/23.

Just had a "Can It Be All So Simple" DIPA collab from Equilibrium and The Answer, bought at Dominion. Really good Galaxy-forward beer.

I believe Baa Baa brewhouse is new to the DMV. I’ve had a few of their ipas. Very good

Picked up a crowler of clap back and it was really good, almost a touch too sweet but very enjoyable. I'm thinking the stuff I previously had was old.

A new brewhouse or just new beers?

The brewery is called baa baa brewhouse. It’s in Texas. I meant today draft and cans are in our area

Nighthawk Pizza Opening Thurs March 24th @ 3pm in Pentagon City

Nighthawk Pizza will open to the public on Thursday (March 24) at 3 p.m., in the large space at 1201 S. Joyce Street, after a series of private “friends and family” nights this week.

The concept marries a 90s vibe with a pizza-centric menu and an on-site brewery operated by Aslin Beer Company. It’s helmed by Chef Johnny Spero, of Netflix’s Final Table fame plus other culinary cred, and backed by a group that includes local serial entrepreneur Scott Parker.

In addition to thin-crust pizza and beer, the menu includes a range of appetizers, salads, sandwiches, burgers, and cocktails — both handmade and on tap. The red-and-blue neon lights, bench seating and retro arcade games help to give the restaurant its 90s feel, partially offset by the abundant flat screen TVs that surround the large bar and the cavernous dining area.

Heading up to DC next week. Google shows Churchkey as "temporary closed". Any word on this?

Sadly, I think they are still closed.

Yeah, I saw they were having a hiring event that was posted a week or two ago, so it should be soon?

I'd check out Shelter in SE if you're looking for a Churchkey-esque bar. Different vibe but it's from the same people, so there's usually a pretty good, extensive beer list over there.

Since late 2020 I want to say. Only ordered a couple times. It's not cheap.

Went a few weeks ago. Same spot Union was in before they moved. Cramped inside, especially when weather is bad and nobody wants to sit in the small area out front. Not a huge taplist, maybe 10-12, mostly IPA's. Only stayed for one (an ESB) that was fair. There was supposed to be a food truck that day but it cancelled, so no food. Service was friendly.

Worth the trip? Only if you want to combine it with a stop at nearby Waverly and the relocated Union Craft. Did not ask about their distribution plans but have seen some on tap in Anne Arundel County which may still be a long haul for you in DC.

Any spots with a very good tap list and TVs to watch the Masters? Within walking distance from Convention Center would be ideal.
