I think so as well — a lot of the best beers are gone by 2, and the older I get I find that I’m usually done by 3 or so. It’s also less crowded which is nice.

Have never been to Snallygaster. This may be the year I change that. Where can I find details on what breweries will feature? I checked their site but couldn’t find anything…

They haven't announced them yet. I believe there was something like 175 breweries last year. Think of all the special tap takeovers NRG has at Churchkey or Shelter or The Sovereign - those breweries will probably be there.

In years past, NRG has announced 3-5 breweries daily on their Instagram account to gin up interest in the event. They haven't started that for this year's festival, but my guess is they will before too long.

In the last few days before the event, I would expect them to drop the entire beer list as an Untappd event, providing options for sorting by style, brewery, rating, etc. There will probably be a handful of errors, even at that late stage, but that will be your best bet for setting a game plan. VIP will have long sold out at that point, but there tends to be a pretty robust market for ticket resale on Facebook.

Way too early for them to announce that with all the things that can change in 3 months. Last year they announced the brewery list at the end of August and started listing the beers pouring towards the end of September so assume the same this year.

Not sure if anyone missed this, but yesterday Port City announced that Pizza Night is joining their annual production line, which for me, is a huge win. Pizza Night is a fantastic Amber Lager that has normally been a special release.

Live Oak is one of the best lager breweries in the country. They also specialize in obscure styles as well as smoked beers— everything they make is excellent.

My bad, I know about Live Oak in Texas, yes great brewery, I mistakened it for Lone Oak farm brewery in Montgomery Co. MD (hence the reference to Elder Pine and Waredaca which are almost walking distance.
