Will definitely check out Juicy at Snally. Will definitely go to Churchkey. What's going in DC proper? I know Astro Lab closed. I know Lost Gen had some hype on opening. Is that spot still good?

Lost Generation is good with a wide variety of styles. Other half is definitely the place to go for IPAs.

For those that are interested Shelter posted a few hours ago that they received a shipment of Heady Topper and Focal Banger to sell in 4 packs.

Same at Churchkey, according to their Instagram as of yesterday. No clue how much they got or if it's still available.

What's the word on Capsoul Brewing in Richmond? Just noticed they're pouring at the Beerscovery tent next weekend at Snally, and their Untappd averages suggest they've been pretty well received.

Where do you find out which breweries are part of Beersscovery?

It's in the Beerscovery app. They've got an hourly schedule of breweries that mostly are not in the Untappd list, together with hourly lists of the beers each plans to bring.

The Sip of Sunshine was canned on Oct 2. It's very good.

It's a brewery out of Richmond. I'm excited to check them out.

Weekend plans just canceled - might try first crack at Snallygaster. Anyone ever been during rain? Might reduce the crowds? Might be an awful experience being drenched? lol

Not really a brewery yet. Or at least one with their own location and brewing setup. Still trying to raise $$ for that. They did a few pop-up releases in the spring out of Black Heath Meadery's production facility but the last few they have been having beers brewed at Ardent, Precarious and Vasen. Pretty much collabing with / at local breweries to get their name out there while raising $$ to eventually open up their own space.

That being said, I have had a couple of their beers and both were really good so I hope they are able to get their own space and do their own brewing at some point.

Back when they used to hold it in September, rain was pretty common. It did not reduce crowding by my observation. It did, however, result in untold numbers of annoying, drunken strangers thinking they were being hilarious by invading my personal bubble to crowd under my umbrella.

Can I take this as confirmation that umbrellas are allowed?

They were several years ago, but I don't know if that's still the case. I'm guessing they address this in their FAQs, but I haven't checked yet.

There are some good beers in the stores right now from Lawson’s and Toppling Goliath…

The distribution to are area has gone up quite a bit!
