DC Metro area bottle share?

I would definitely be in for this. I am new to the area and would love to meet some fellow beer geeks. Would be willing to contribute DL, BCBVS, RR / Upland sours, just to name a few.

 

There used to be a mailing list with a bunch of people in the area, well at least Nova. But it seems no one really uses it anymore. I could possibly up for a bottle share depending where and when as my schedule can be a little screwy.

 

I'd be interested in a bottle share. I live in Arlington but work in Herndon and visit DC on weekends.

 

Would love to do a bottle share sometime. I have a couple small tasting groups that I'm a part of that I'm sure would like to contribute as well.

Step up and throw a date/location down and let's do this. I wouldn't be able to host, but I can contribute Jester King bottles and Boulevard stuff that hasn't made it this way (Rye on Rye, Saison Brett and a couple others). Ended up with more Parabola than I expected and I really want to open one. Itching to do a side by side of the Maui/JP Sobrehumano Palenaole too.

I may be able to make it out that last weekend in Sep. Most of my cellar is in storage now, but I know I have Eclipse Elijah 12 and 18, and BA Naked Evil with me. I have a BA Dark Lord I could bring too but would have to look in storage. Can't remember which one but it's one they released at Baller Stout release.

 

The email list had been quite quiet for sometime, I've always been up for one meet up. I've been really bad though about making past ones and lots of us in the DC area are always quite busy with stuffages to get things going.... then interest seemed to wane..

I wouldn't know if I could make it till maybe the week of. It also depends where it will be held. But keep me updated as I have some nice bottles I would like to bring.

 

I'd be interested, but my schedule is a bit crazy. All I know for sure is that the weekend of the 29th is definitely out for me. I am up for weeknights... but only unit Oct 13th then I'm out as I start work up and will be out of town. Weekends are mostly free after that.

I could also possibly host in my apartment building's party room.

 

Just stumbled on this thread... I don't really have any rare stuff to offer (where does everyone get all the goodness?), but I could probably host it in my apt building's party room like the poster above. It's a very large room with tv/music/foosball/pool table and couches. I'm in Arlington (Clarendon right off the metro) and the only thing would be that we'd have to hope no one else has booked the party room that day/night because it costs $100/hour I believe, which is ridiculous.

So instead of waiting for a big bottle share... how bout I just propose one and we see if we can get a few people. Fair warning, I probably can't do more than like 15ish people though so we'll see who is interested.

Date: Next Thursday (9/20)
Where: Courthouse (Exact location will be sent to individual participants. It's within a couple blocks of the metro stop though)
When: 7pm - 11pm (open to changes to this, but seems about right)

What you need to do: Send me a BM. If you are serious about coming, send me a BM and I'll put you on the list. It'll be too hard for me to keep track in the discussion thread. Oh, and maybe bring some snacks!

If the date doesn't work for us to get a good number of people, no worries. I just figured I'd throw it out there and see if we can get something going.
