Might as well go to Craig's, then.

Alright, so I guess a trip report is in order since this happened in May.

    Thursday:
Got off the plane and headed to Best Damn Beer shop to pick up some bottles. Was able to get a Pliny and Supplication, so I was able to cross of my RR fairly quick. Also picked up some Birthday Bomb, which I just opened this past weekend. Awesome beer that would taste amazing with a year or two cellared.

Next stop I hit up Modern Times North Park. Easy to find parking in the middle of the day. Taproom is pretty cool spot, but damn those big flight pours! I think they are 8 oz flights. Tough when you are driving around. Booming Rollers was really good, but I thought Orderville was better. City of the dead was pretty tasty and an interesting take on bourbon-barrel aged coffee. Picked up some freshies of BR and O'ville to bring back among some other bombers.

Walked North to Bottle craft. I wasn't impressed with their selection as the guy said most of the rarer stuff gets scooped up within hours. I did grab a couple Barrel Roll BWs that I can't get back home.

Walked up a little further to Torando. Grabbed a Pliny and Redemption. Was disappointed that they don't do flights since I was really going for diversity instead of quantity. The Gouda Mac and cheese is legit though.

Finally met up with the wife and headed to Stone Liberty Station. I really liked the spot, but damn was the beer selection disappointing. I really didn't like anything here, admittedly I am not the biggest Stone fan. Was hoping their tap list would have had more stouts, but I guess it was May anyways. Looking forward to checking out the new spot in VA.

    Friday:
Drove up to Huntington Beach and stopped at Rockin crepes since it was the only thing I could find that was open and serve at 9AM. It was 12 AM EST so I didn't feel as bad having a Parabola with my breakfast. Tap list was awesome, but the crepes were average (too much sauce).

Next stop for lunch was FW Venice. Love me some FW and stocked up on Parabola, Sucaba, XIX, B Rose B Weisse, and Feral One. You west coast peeps are spoiled. Missed out by a week or so on Parabajava, but happy nonetheless. Food was excellent. Can't remember what I had but couldn't finish. Tap list had the usual suspects mentioned above, plus Hydra Cuvée.

Missed out on Liberty Alehouse and Fathers Office in Santa Monica, but will have to go back.

Ended the night at Surly Goat, which is a pretty cool dive bar with awesome tap list. Can't remember what I had other than another Pliny.

    Saturday:
Sattled up at the bar in the Farmers Market at the Grove, while the wife shopped and people watched. Got some more MT. Not a big Gose fan but the Salted Caramel Gose from Angel City was awesome. Wife even got a pint. Didn't really go anywhere beer noteworthy Saturday as this was the wife's night to plan.

For those interested, the celebrities we saw were Zac Efron, Jaime Presley, Sarah Sutherland (daughter in Veep), Allison Janey, and some other lesser known actors.

    Thanks for all the suggestions!

Not to hi-jack the thread but I have a somewhat related question that doesn't merit it's own thread.

I'm likely going to be in LA area for a Sunday evening. I'm looking for a recommendation for a beer bar/brewery that will be open late-ish (at least until 9pm, as I'll be occupied until 5 or 6).

Right now my inclination is FW Venice, but I've never spent any significant time in LA, so I'm mostly flying blind and influenced by my general love of FW, which was never available in Vancouver until a few weeks ago.

The LA area is huge. Any specific part you'll be in? Traffic sucks balls there so if you're not close to Venice that could be an hour plus drive you're talking.

Sorry, I should have specified that we don't really have a committed area. We are going to the Rams game, and then will be searching for somewhere to have a few beers. We'll be flying out early Monday morning.

Yea traffic sucks, but on a Sunday evening you're chill.

Yeah, missed the Sunday part. Sunday will be much better, although LA still amazes me with the amount of traffic you sometimes see on weekends. FW Venice would be good, along with El Segundo Brewing if you're staying near the airport.
