Downtown Crown in Gaithersburg had a little less than 3 cases a couple days ago. $23.99 a bottle I think?

I kind of agree. I wouldn't really say "underwhelming", but I didn't think it was so much better than say, Xocoveza. Its hard for me to imagine a coffee stout that's worth over $20 a bottle when great ones like WnB are readily available and cheap, but maybe I would change my mind if I tried it.

Sump blows WnB out of the water in my opinion...not even close. I also though Abraxas was a lot better than xocoveza too though.

I'll second this about Sump. I've had it a handful of times and I think it is leagues better than WnB. Definitely worth $20 a bottle in my book.

Sump is off the hook but $20 a bottle is preposterous. I got a 32oz. growler at Magruders around Thanksgiving for $15. I got one 750ml bottle from them for $19. Glass is fucking expensive these days.

If anyone's still looking, Gilly's has a bunch still in stock -- $28.99, which if you know Gilly's is almost reasonably priced for them.

Damn, I would have thought they would charged at least $35 for that. What a steal!

It's a great beer, but I would never pay that much for it. There's so much good beer out there it doesn't make sense to pay these outrageous prices anymore.

For anyone still wanting a taste, I just got back from Red Apron in Union Market and they still had it on tap. The bartender said they get so few beer guys there he thought it would last for at least a week more. Maybe not after this post, but I would swing over there asap. $4 for a 4 oz pour and $12 for a full.
