I'm coming to DC next month from VA. Looking for some sweet places to grab dinner and some good beer, as well as maybe a bottle shop to check out in the DC area. Preferably close to the Metro, since that'll be our transportation for the few days we're up there.

Seriously, not to sound like a dick but these threads pop up every single week. Do people not realize there is a search function?

Churchkey & Birch and Barley is the best bet for booth as it is the primary craft beer venue in the city. CK is the upstairs bar; it opens 4pm on weeknights, noon on weekends. B&B is the downstairs restaurant with the same beer list. Second choice would be one of the Rusticos; one is in Alexandria, Virginia; the other, in Ballston. All of these are Metro accessible.

Great bottle shops in DC (in order, IMO) are Chevy Chase (not close to Metro), Rodmans (Friendship Heights Metro), Sherrys (Woodley Park Metro), Cleveland Park (CP Metro), D'Vines (Columbia Heights Metro), Cairo Liquors and Connecticut Ave Liquor (both DuPont Circle Metro). May be leaving some out, but that's just off the top of my head.

Ballston metro stop. World of Beer and Rustico are right there with great selections. Rustico has great food. In the mall is a Rock Bottom, also good beer.

Dupont Circle metro stop. Big Hunt, Pizza Paradiso. Bier Baron is a short cab ride or 15 minute walk.

All worthy. I would add Courthouse Metro with Fireworks Pizza and Galaxy Hut up WIlson Blvd.
