So my buddy is headed up to DC for Thanksgiving weekend and asked if I had any interest in any beers to bring back. Obviously would need to be bottled/canned. Doesn't have to be really rare and had many DC Brau beers. Anything you guys would recommend try and get for me that maybe I can't get in Raleigh.
Assuming your friend is driving up from NC, I'd recommend a stop in RVA - Veil might have cans available depending on the day, crowlers from Triple Crossing/the Answer, and bottles from Hardywood Park. Closer to DC, Ocelot will probably have bottles and their IPAs are very good. For shelf beers in/near DC, Hardywood GBS should be easy to find. Sixpoint is also easy to find here, but I think doesn't distribute to NC. If he can travel with growlers I'd recommend stopping at Right Proper for saisons/funkier beers, but they don't bottle or can.
