With events starting to pop up on the calendar this week - figured its a good time to get the thread going.

Which events are you most looking forward to?

Honestly, so far I can't seen any events that I am excited about. Using this site to search for events. SAVOR week is so damn good it seems like DCBW is becoming less significant.

I looked through the calendar and like you, nothing jumped out at me. Hoping some of the shining stars (Churchkey, Scion, Paradiso, etc) come through.

The Scion blind tasting last year was a fun event. Hoping that returns.

Def planning on going to Brewhaha at Old Ebbitt again this year.

Can you give us a quick run down of what that is exactly?

It seems like every event is a $20 tasting or a $65 beer dinner. SAVOR week was tap takeover after takeover with no covers and amazing breweries like Surly and Cigar City. I wonder why DCBW doesn't have any events like those

maybe you answered your own question. Savor somewhat cannibalizing DCBW

Most of us can afford to go to some tap takeovers and have a few cool beers. Fewer people have the resources/desire to spend $70 on dinner and drinks. These are just not the types of events I'm interested in attending
