Was at a local bottle shop and saw some de cam bottles today. Question is do these hold any trade value and are they worth the $40 price tag. Only other time I've seen this is on Trappist world.

I think there's been a recent shipment of De Cam Oude Lambiek to the states as I've seen it all over Denver recently too at the same price point. I can't say that I've seen made trades for De Cam stuff though. Maybe if it were older vintages or some of the fruited variants... other than that I don't have much insight..

Makes more sense now I believe it was the same bottle at my shop

Very good beer. Despite the price, I suggest you buy one for personal consumption.

If you actually want the beer and buy in bulk, it's cheaper to have it shipped from Belgium. Though I enjoyed it, I would not recommend it at $40.

It's a delicious beer that you should try at least once. We probably see it at the same shop and its hard for me to pass up. Maybe this week I'll pull the trigger once again

Totally agree! I also bought a bottle for the cellar because I think this will be an amazing beer to forget about for 5 to 10 years.
