What's it been taking to land one of these? As I apparently love apricot juice with bugs in it, this has been recommended to me by many people- but I have no idea what it takes to land one. Anyone have any recently completed trades or at least some advice on what it takes to land it? $10-20 in limited brewery-only beer? More?

I'd say $10 - $20 of limited is right depending on how limited. A couple random thoughts:

    1. The less limited, the more over $4$ you'll need to go obviously. I think everyone can agree the price points on the De Garde stuff are really limited. But you're familiar with this since some Midwest stuff - e.g. New Glarus - falls in the same camp.

    2. An implied "hierarchy" of value on De Garde beers seems to develop pretty quickly ... at least with locals. For example, Black Raz is one people really want to hold on to. Apricot is falling into that camp. Both are intensely pure expressions of the fruit - incredible color, thick and jammy looking in the case of Black Raz and almost pulpy / juicy looking in the case of Apricot. So these two will tend to demand more.

    3. Establishing 1:1 values is tough since most people I know - myself included - trade De Garde as part of bigger trades. 3 - 6 bottles of De Garde, plus Upright limited, plus yadda yadda yadda for bigger bottles. Most of the trades I know of are of this variety and going for things like 3 SARA + 2 Rare Barrel, Hefst / Winter / Zomer, multiple SARA bottles, etc. I know that's not necessarily a big help if you want to go for 1 bottle ... but I think you're better off trading for at least 3 bottles of De Garde anyway to get a sense of the variety including non "Bu" beers.

    Cheers!
