I've started seeing Bu Wiesse in Washington. Just 48 more states to go...

The problem is, I'm not sure just where you'd need to go to find them there. We visit fairly often, and other than the local Albertson's, Safeway or Winco, I'd be hard put to think of any other place in town that's going to have a decent craft beer selection (and unfortunately, those aren't the type of stores that are typically going to have any dG stuff).

Salem isn't too far away, and I'm fairly sure I've read that dG stuff is available down there. Otherwise, does your uncle ever drive in to Portland? :-)

We get Bu Weisse and Petit Desay now. Lots left at the PCC by my house.

    Maybe here?

Not to be all self promoting, but Oregon City is pretty close to McMinnville and we have a few selections from de Garde at www.archbridgetaphouse.com.

Could be. Have never seen/noticed these guys, and we typically walk all over 3rd street during the UFO fest. Either I'm completely oblivious (a very distinct possibility), or these guys are relatively new. Will definitely have to stop by next time we're in town.

LOL! I guess it's debatable as to what constitutes "pretty close," but if the Uncle can handle a "short" hour long drive (each way) up to Oregon City, then he'll be well rewarded with a nice selection of dG stuff.

Roth's has an okay selection of craft beers. Or at least it used to be better than the other grocery stores in town. I don't get down to Mac as much as I used to.

Ha, actually Wilson was the ville I was thinking of, I always manage to confuse those two. Sometimes brain work not good.

Any suggestions to find de garde bottles in Salem?

LifeSource should have Bu Weisse and/or Petit Desay. b2 Taphouse has Bu bottles for on-premise or to-go (and a solid taplist). Liquor Outlet might also have some, but I've heard their beer guy left & their selection has suffered recently.

How is availability in downtown Portland? Never had anything by deGarde but wont be too mobile outside of the downtown/east portland area.

Thanks for the Salem Rec. LifeSource was fully stocked with both petit desay and bu weisse. Haven't had petit yet but bu weisse was fantastic and such a good price point. I was just sad I couldn't bring a case home with me.

Don't let their availability fool you, Bu Weisse, Petit Desay, and Tableau Rouge are every bit the same quality as the more limited releases. They're not "shelf beers" in the traditional sense, just more available (and an amazing value).

Ya all three of those I'd for sure by some of and hopefully find a 12 pack shipper to take home with me. Two free carry ons and both might be beer... how hard is to find those 3 downtown? Probably going to walking around sat afternoon between deschutes, cascade and other
    bar

When you're near Deschutes, go check the Whole Foods in the Pearl District. Also, Bailey's Taproom lists Bu Weisse and Petit Desay in their bottle list, and you can get those to go.

When you're over near Cascade, you might stop in at Growler Guys. Their bottle selection is small, but I've seen de Garde there in the past. (Also, their tap selection is fantastic.)

Finally, while Portland is a very walkable city, you shouldn't hesitate to use public transit while you're in town. (The Streetcar, for instance, will get you from the Pearl to the other side of the river, a few blocks from Cascade/Growler Guys/The Commons.) The heat wave up here is no joke, and it isn't going away any time soon.

As far as fruited Bu's go, have they only bottled imperials recently? Trying to get my hands on Stone Bu and Apricot Bu (non-imperial) but I'm not sure if those have even been bottled in the past year.

Cherry Raz and Peach Bu are currently for sale. Their Facebook is a good place to answer these sorts of questions.

Just as a heads up, Peach Bu is sold out, but there is still some Cherry Raz available.

Every couple weeks, give or take. They generally update the facebook page on Wednesday with a list of what's going to be available that weekend.
