There is also at least one other site experiencing strong demand for this glass, especially because Trevor is much more active over there.

Yep. I started the ISO Avalanche. First time my girlfriend told me she was interested in me trading to get her a glass and she wanted one because it was 'cute as heck' and she knew I had a dG Sundae glass so we'd match.

Looking at what others have offered, no wonder someone bought a ton.

    It's a darn glass.
Sorry for those interested that didn't get one for certain though. We will have more good glassware in the future. Lest anything else be misconstrued, we do appreciate your interest and patronage.

I'll say that folks from out of state being the antagonists in this short part of this little thread is quite funny. Were you planning on stopping in? The two day lifespan of the glassware was the problem? The very few people that bought more than one or two should be your best friends I'd think.

Regardless, it is a piece of glass. Expensive to us, and expensive to purchase, yes. But a piece of glass.

I will also say that each of us employees took multiple cases. I personally kept 24 glasses. To, you know, drink and share beer out of. I do also know a handful of people that bought a case or more for the same purpose. I do sincerely and personally apologize for those that are offended.

    Cheers!

I guess I'm the adversarial out of towner as I'm sure the WA/CA guys do make trips your way more frequently than someone from FL. Wasn't mad or upset. Not sure anyone in this thread is upset or mad at you @deGardebrewing
Thank you though for the explanation as it does at least help me understand.
It's not everyday we get a brewery who can put out awesome beer and glasses to match.

Fortunately the artist behind the glass can always design new ones. :-)

More like 23, but that's pretty close to the truth of the matter.

I'll let you in on another shocking secret: Not all of us in Portland drive out to Tillamook for every beer release either. If the limits are high on a beer, people frequently offer to pick up bottles for other folks they know.

It is good for a 12 oz pour. I nabbed one, should have got 2 . Oh well. Also got a mixed case for the road. Cherry Raz Bu is so very good.

    Guilty.

I know a couple other people bought 4+ cases. Thing is, like @kscaldef says, people are helping out there local PDX guys, as well as guys they trustee for. Best believe that everybody who trustees for someone out of state got a few texts/BMs asking for a glass.

The ridiculous and very sad part is a few people in this thread have jumped to the conclusion that someone like myself who bought cases is profiteering from or flipping them. Most people I sent/am sending glass to is getting ONLY one. A couple of my regular trading partners are getting two because they are badass dudes. And yes, some PDX guys got hooked up as well. I kept a case (6) for myself because well, I like having cool stuff to throw in as extras and frankly, I need at least 2 because I always break shit.

The real part that pisses me off is that this beer community that we are all a part of, has been shifting in the last few years. People are immediately assuming the worst of each other. EVERYBODY is out to 'win' trades. NOBODY wants to help each other out. [insert neck beard region here] guys are holding beers hostage. Well you know what, that shit has, for the most part stayed out of PDX as far as I can tell. People are great here and people will pick you up a couple Cow Whale glasses if they're out at the brewery anyway. So sorry, NOT sorry for buying 48 glasses to give, AT COST, to people who are my friends, trading partners, and long-time deGarde supporters. And FUCK YOU to the people that make people feel like we're all a bunch of jackasses for doing so, without knowing so.

I don't even know why I posted to this dead topic anyway, I just felt like I had to defend myself and the other NW traders, because we are NOT like some other regions that fight and bitch about EVERY FUCKING release. We DONT try to hype our shit up. And MOST of us will pop the BEST regional beers with you, if you're from out of town.

    .......................I've been drinking...sorry.....Happy 4th!!!!!!
