Speaking of logistics, I've heard there will be porta-potties for the event. That should alleviate one of the lines!

Oh sweet Jesus, I hope so. Also figured out Lauren and the baby don't have to hide in the car... Which makes things much better. Camping chairs for the lot.

Cape Lookout State Park is about 8 or 10 miles drive. You have to head back into Tillamook, then west towards Netarts. It's a great state park with nice tent sites. The yurts are already sold out, but there are plenty of tent sites still available. We're considering coming down and camping for the weekend. Just be warned that camping in early May on the Oregon coast is a crap-shoot at best.

I made reservations last night and it helped...... for a little while. I might have to open a Vin Lee this weekend. On a side note I will be bringing more Pinwheels, because there will be too much good beer not to have snacks!

I've learned a long time ago that catheters and a camel pack are all I need for big events ; -)

Mar Clair is cheap, clean and friendly. It's the hotel de Garde typically recommends.

Just made my reservations at the Mar Clair. Aw+yeah.

The gent I spoke with on the phone mentioned a special rate for the night of the Anniversary Party.

A bottle share on top of that taplist and the bottle share at de Garde? Hardcore.

My First thought as well. Last release my palate was fubar about 2 hours in.

Heads up on the Mar Clair. No fridge in the rooms. Having said that, its still clean and cheap.

I am confident that Trevor and his team will do a fantastic job with this event, but I am concerned with the continually growing number of people who plan on attending and the impact that could have on the space. We have all been to events (unfortunately, most have occurred recently with increasing frequency) where there are just too many attendees that simply overwhelm the best laid plans of the event organizers. Will the space hold around 250-300+ people? If not, are there local laws that prohibit the event taking place in an expanded outside area?

We are in the process of leasing the adjoining warehouse as an extension of our production space, and are hoping to have the process completed by the time of the party. We'll update as we go along.
In short, we have looked into the possibility of utilizing exterior space prior, but it appears to be an impossibility.
Please believe that we are doing everything in our power to ensure the best time for all attendees!

As I said, I have the utmost confidence that everything that can be done, will be done, no doubts there. I was just referring to the instances elsewhere with similar type events where a brewery sees an explosion of interest and growth that overwhelms the event in the sheer number of people in attendance. This event has generated a large amount deal of interest, falls on a weekend where weddings have typically not yet begun, people are generally free and want to travel after the long winter, it isn't a holiday weekend, there are no other major events taking place that would attract the beer crowd (FredFest is Sunday), etc. which leads me to believe that this will be the most populated event De Garde has hosted, and can lead to unanticipated issues based on sheer headcount!

The best ways I have seen these factors offset:
    - Ticketed entry to the event to keep numbers in check (Hill Farmstead Third Anniversary Party, May 2013)
    - For limited release drafts, a ticketed system that guarantees the ticket holder a pour of 'limited beer X' to combat lines and counteract line cutting (Zwanze Day, West Lakeview Liquors, 2012 & 2013)
    - Online ordering systems for the release of bottles, with limits imposed, and the requirement to pick up the bottles on the day of the event only, with ID, etc. (the Founders system for limited releases, 2013-2014)
