I'll be curious to see how well attended this event will end up being. It sounds like it should be a lot of fun, and I know I'm looking forward to it (at this point), but it's a haul to get over to Tillamook from Seattle, Tacoma, PDX or Eugene, and it's probably going to be the sort of event where most folks will want to get a hotel. So I'm wondering if when push comes to shove, a lot of folks will decide that maybe this isn't something they want to attend after all.

I'm guessing there were around 100-150 people there at the last keeper release. With only Loak and Vin Lee available for purchase. Along with 6(?) kegs on tap.

I'd be surprised if there wasn't double that number this time around. With a ridiculous tap list and 4x the bottles available.

All in all, I think it ran very smoothly. The lines for the beer were shorter than those for the bathroom towards the end. Great bottle share, cool people and delicious brew.

All of this just reaffirms my belief that the keepers membership was the best deal in the history of beer. (Getting in at noon doesn't suck.)

Can't wait for this event. Should be awesome!

This makes sense given their average yield per bottle variant and the number of people expected to be in attendance. Assuming an initial 1 bottle yield with additional sales opening up at the end of the day after everyone presumably purchased their initial bottles is reasonable.

If anyone sees a White KIA with Illinois plates within a 50 mile radius of De Garde the weekend of May 3, please let me know.

I was just in Tampa for the latest. Yikes. I don't want to fight those kinds of lines again.

I've heard slightly mixed reports on Keepers with multiple memberships and how many guests they can bring to the party. Is there a final / official decision on this?

This seems about right, except on the super official golden ticket deGarde membership, it says you can bring a guest. That would mean, even if I have one membership, I can bring a guest. Let's just wait to hear from the man himself, before we speculate @deGardebrewing

Sorry for any confusion. We werent aware that it wasnt clear on the membership!
One guest per membership (as stated at signup).
So, if you have one, you can bring one guest (total of two people).
If you have three, you can bring three guests (total of four people).
    etc.
    Hope that clarifies any uncertainty!
We'll be sending out the final information to members this week, and doing the final updates on the Facebook events page.

Haha, I was tagging you in that spot, then decided to do it at the end so it stayed deGarde. But now that you've hurt my feelings, I'm not attending...who wants my ticket...? :stuck_out_tongue:

My thought as well. Aside from this event, I confess that every time I see something about HOTD, I start thinking that maybe I can do Fred Fest this year as well after all.

As much as I really want to go and finally taste some DeGarde,( I am a beer virgin for those Berliners) the expense is too great. I have a trip to WI, IL, MI planned for June so my beer budget is tight until I can unload on TG, FFF, NG, Bells, Founders, Pipeworks, etc..,Have fun at the party , may it be sane and safe.

Shhh - more beers for us! ;-)

Really - it's gonna be chaos. CHAOS. Everybody stay at home. Hunker down. Get bottled water and cans of Dinty Moore Beef Stew. Do not pass go, do not buy any beers.

    CHAOOOOSSSSS!
