Your wife's cousin is Scott Frost of Cornhusker fame?
Yup. Well, some sort of cousin. His Dad and her Dad are first cousins.
That would be second cousin.
So it does look like some De Garde bottles were sent to Eugene... fingers crossed they're still around on Friday...
Red October release & party, plus membership signup in 12 days...
in spirit, yes
And in Keepers membership.
Sadly, not coming. Hoping the memberships are still available in early November when I can make it down that way ...
I was too early by a week to attend last month's grand opening of the tasting room. Looks like I'll be a week late to attend the Red October release party.
But that's okay. I'll be making the trip to Tillamook shortly after I get settled. Very much looking forward to it.
I know I'm an outsider but I am very intrigued by this brewery from the murmurs and rumblings I have seen scattered here and there.
With that said I am on the wrong damn coast. Any Oregonians want a friend on the right side of the country (HF, Lawson's, Heady)? I return acts of kindness with bigger acts of kindness
Making a trip up to Portland next month, with a day trip over to Tillamook and would love to visit your tasting room. Just wanted to check to make sure you're not open on Sundays? Are you serious about appointment pretty much anytime (and if so, how do I make one), or should I plan to come on Saturday?
We are willing to open for tasting and a glass or two by appointment as long as we are capable. We certainly would prefer a Saturday, but are happy to accommodate. If Sunday works best, just give a call the day prior with an approximate time, and then again when you're coming into town 541-301-8109.
Enjoy the trip and we hope to see you!
So, what did I miss by being a responsible adult and going to work today instead of attending the party?
Side note to Trevor and/or Lindsay (whoever is checking this account), I had about a dozen people ask me about your beer tonight, so please don't be surprised if people call you tomorrow and ask if you're open. I saw the hours on FB once I got home, but I couldn't check while I was at work earlier so I just told them to Google it...
We are opening today. Noon to 4pm. Was a great party!
Edit: forgot to add that we'll also open by appointment pretty much any day we can. We keep limited hours generally, and want to accommodate those whos schedules don't coincide.
Also, updated the hours for today. We're tired. Happy, but tired.
Did you sell all of the memberships or are there some still available?
We do have memberships remaining.
All of your memberships are belong to us!
Vin Rougie is amazing! My second favorite DG beer after Cranberry Bu Weisse. Lee Noir is no slouch either. Trevor and Lindsay are putting out some great beers over there and I'm happy to make the drive every time they feel the need to please our palates with some more beers.
Sure would be nice to try some of these beers...
Yeah big time high fives to De Garde, I think Lee Noire is my second favorite De Garde brew so far after Blu Bu, who knows it may get better yet!
Don't you guys hold the record for most De Garde kegs poured? I figured you would have tried everything by now...
Yeah, but I think all of those kegs went bad before we got them. They were sour. I want to try that Total Domination clone he's working on.
Anyone want to trustee for a membership? I can pick up, just not sign up. And I'll get you a present.
Person who signs up has to be the person to picks up.
Sorry. Wild only here.
See you Valentines day. Now go get my Tabasco barrels.
Had my bottle of Cornelio Nunez last night. I had no idea what to expect, but it was way better than anything I could have imagined. Great job!
Will you guys be open on New Year's Eve? I'll be in the area with family and would love to finally check out your new digs.
Since it's not part of our normal schedule, I have my doubts if we'll make a day out of it, but we'll see as we get closer.
We will always open by appointment if we are available though!
Haha, wow...I didn't even take into consideration your "Normal Business Hours." Why can't you just be open whenever I happen to be within a 20-mile radius?!? Smooches.
Nah but for realz, will be in touch when we get closer to NYE - I assumed you wouldn't be open, and just wanted to start absorbing all that disappointment now.
so... I just cracked a bottle of Lee Noir... jaw = dropped
I just save myself the trouble with DeGarde and keep my mouth open.
Yeah....Libbey shared a bottle of Lee Noir with me yesterday. Damn good stuff.
Fixed that for ya.
I hope that's not a commentary on our pricing.
Hah, it isn't. You have the best pricing of any place I've come across making the caliber of beer you are. It is just a foregone conclusion that I will buy anything and everything you release so I might as well leave my wallet open. ;-)
De garde is loved in Vegas!
Looking forward to my first (and oft delayed) trip to the tasting room this Saturday. Great days indeed!
