Been interested in trying a few of the De Garde Bus. Just seeing what it takes to land these. Thanks in advance for the help!

Varies substantially. Some of the variants have been <200 bottles, 1-2 bottles per person. Some have been ~800 bottles with 6 bottles limits (or even no limit once the initial line went through). Some are fantastically great, some are merely quite good. A couple have had problems with pedio in the bottle ("ropiness"), which may have cleaned up by now, and some bottles of Strawberry are apparently unbearably phenolic.

So... some other limited, brewery-only beer?

I've traded Bus for limited brewery only beer as well as rarer shelf beers from around the country. Picked up some Kiwi this weekend, which I have not tried yet, and had the Boysenberry Bu on tap, which was fantastic.

They've generally been easier to get lately, due to frequent releases. They used to be damned near impossible to trade for last year. Limited, brewery only, don't expect dollar for dollar to come into play necessarily.

I think that's much more a factor of increased bottle counts than number of variants. They released ~10 variants in May, but with 1 bottle limits on most of them, I don't think many got traded.

those variants released in may were all "imperial" versions and yes, there were bottle limits on them. i traded three, because i tried them all at the event... and got a bunch of Hill Farmstead 1:1 for each bottle. I was more than happy with that decision.

the "regular" bus, far as I know, do not have bottle limits imposed on them until supply starts to dwindle. there were no bottle limits this weekend.

    That is not correct.

The most recent release of Black Raz and Kiwi(berry) Bu on the 23rd started with 6 bottle limits. Once everyone got through the line, they opened up for additional (unlimited) sales. I believe Trevor held back a few cases of Black Raz for on-site consumption or to pour at events.

Previously to that, Berry Whiskey, Blu, and Hose were a 4 bottle limit on release day. A small amount of Berry Whiskey and Hose were still available through the next release; I think with a 6 bottle limit then, although I don't recall with absolute certainty.

Previously to that, Currant Gin, Desay L'Orange, and Oude English were also a 4 bottle limit. Once again, small quantities lasted until the next release.

(You may notice a theme of 1 case full allocations....)

I don't recall the particulars any further back than that, although Facebook does, but I can guarantee you, nothing from de Garde has ever been released without a bottle limit.

You are right, I was more speaking to my experiences there on non-release days. I asked the dude working (not Trevor) if there were any bottle limits today, and he said no. Then again, I didn't try to buy more than three of any available beer.
