Chasing bcbs or De Garde extra bus.... That's tough.

If you do head out there and don't mind grabbing me a couple bottles I'll make it worth your while.

Mostly just a preference from juice to funk. I would probably go bu stone < Abricot < Imperial Apricot, but the difference between them all isn't very significant (in how good they are, not in taste).

I thought Abricot du Fermier was probably the best beer of the day. but the fall off is not far to the other fruited sours i had.

I mean the beers were good, but dat glassware tho...

Opened a bu stone bottle at home and it was a totally different beer than what I had on tap at the event. Much more sour, less peach, less carbonation. Still a great beer but was surprised how different it tasted. It was my first taste at the event so don't think my palate was destroyed then. Anyone else experienced this after opening their bottles?

The bottles are always more tart. I agree it wasn't as fruit strong, but I still think it's one of the best bu beers.

Ok. Thanks. I agree, on tap or in bottle it is an amazing beer.

Bottles bare always different. I always tend to like the bottles a lot more.

What is typically the limit for to-go bottle purchases in the tasting room?

I don't think you can say there is a typical limit. Initial limits on release have ranged from 1-6 (and occasionally no limit). Usually once a Saturday has passed (so 1-3 days of limited sales), limits are lifted on anything that remains. But there's been lots of variation.

Is there a schedule for these releases? After finally trying some, me and a couple friends have decided that we have to hit one.

Schedule is erratic, announced on short notice. Next time you're in Seattle shout and I'll share a few.

Most of their releases are announced about a week ahead of time on their Facebook page. You can also check that page to see what's on tap and what bottles are available during their regular tasting room hours.

Last weekend's bottle release was part of their quarterly party, and those tend to include plenty of guest taps/bottles and a bottle share. Good times.

The beers are released when the beers are ready. That pretty much sums up the schedule with the exception of the quarterly parties.

Had 5 de Garde beers in the past week.

    Desay - Excellent
    Nelson Hose - Freaking amazin
    Hose - also freaking amazing

Recent releases of Bu Weisse and Petit Desay - disappointed in both. Really getting tired of non carbonated beer. Bu Weisse had a little bit, but they were both pretty flat and underwhelming. tasted like water that had fruit and sour patch kids soaking in it.

On a random side note, I drank a Bu-mosa (2 parts Bu Weisse to 1 part OJ) last night, and it might become my go to breakfast drink from here on out.

@maltmaster420, where did pricing end up for these latest bottle releases? Trevor was throwing around some surprisingly low estimates a week or so ago.

$4.29 for the Bu and $4.79 for the Petit Desay.
