I picked this up somewhere, looked interesting. I put this thing to the light and see that there is a large amount of sediment floating around the bottom. There's no date on the bottle. Does this beer age well? Note- this is not the 2011 Heritage

Without actually having it, I would assume its fine. Just keep it upright and undisturbed for a couple days and pour slowly and leave a bit at the bottom towards the end and enjoy the rest.

    Thanks.

By the way, are you the guy I traded with two years ago? I exchanged DFH WWS and DFH Palo Santo Maron for various beers.

Anyone out there tried an aged one?

I had one that had been in my cellar for at least a year and it was spectacular! Made me consider shelling out $150 for a six pack of oak aged (I got BA Rasputin instead).

The oak aged is a very different beer, as well -- it's a bretted quad. I totally love it, but cellared regular isn't necessarily an indication of the heritage version.

i have not tried an aged one, but i'm sure this will hold up for years. My local shop carries this brew and their triple, both are very good.

Letting it sit undisturbed for 48 hrs should cause all the sediment to fall.

I've had a two year old bottle. One of the best Belgian quads out there IMO, and very underrated, few people know much about the brewery.

Also a great one to visit in Brugge. The 2011 Heritage is awesome. Can get it in Boise fairly easily usually with a $25 price tag though. Here in Texas we only get Brugse Zot sadly.
