    Hey all,

I'm on a trip through Europe at the moment. When I was in Brussels I stopped into this extraordinary place. I am returning to Brussels on Sunday but the person I am traveling with leaves on Saturday. I wanted to return to.de heeren but the things I want to drink cost lots of money and if I were to drink them by myself i would be afraid I wouldn't appreciate them properly.

So, if anyone would like to join me at de heeren on Monday or Tuesday let me know. I would love to go back and split a few bottles. Would love to hit up roos blauw and crianza if possible. I know that is ambitious but I am on vacation so I gotta try.

Absolutely... Boston is nice but I would love to move to Belguim/Netherlands/Europe. I would move in a second if I could get a working visa. Nobody wants so to hire a American who cannot speak the native language. LOL Anyone looking to hire an English speaking Guezue hound?

Just FYI, they're closed on Tuesdays and have limited hours on Monday, only lunch. Or at least, that's how I remember it from when I went there.

Hey now, they're great people. Their service wasn't any slower than anywhere else in Belgium (faster than some places I went to) and they were always extremely nice to me.

They might be wonderful people, but the person responsible for our table was grumpy bordering on petulant.

I am 100% with you on this. They are great people... Was the service up to the standards of restaurants here in America? No.... But I don't expect that over there. I had a great time at my visit and I cannot reccomend this place highly enough.

I don't agree with that. I have had the slowest service of anywhere in the world at De Heeren. The last time I was there, our party was seated at a table, and the waitress did not even come back to give us menus for 30 minutes. I had to skip eating because of our schedule.

You don't agree with my experience? Umm, okay. Well I don't agree with yours!

Elsewhere in Belgium I was served the wrong food, still charged for it, and had to ask twice for the check and still saw two other people get theirs before me. I think service in Europe is just slower and shittier in general than in the US.
