Hey BA's. Just acquired a bottle of Black Albert today from Batch 14. Does anybody have any information as to the bottling date for this bad boy, or a site I can use to determine the bottling dates of De Struise beer in general. Did a few searches on google, as well as the De Struise website and came up empty handed. Thanks!
Anyone know about batch 0 black albert? The only information I had on the label was "Lot D, Best Before September 2015". Non Shelton bottle.
I hate to bash Struise (the best brewers in the world IMHO) but that 2007 is one of the quad-like bottles. Definately not their best offering and my least favorite of the Black Albert batches. It's very quad-like with a slight port wine-ish finish. Good stuff for sure, but not the glory of the batch zero and original bottlings. Good but not amazing. Try to get one of the batch zero bottles if you can. If this is you first time trying Black Albert I would hate for you to be disappointed. Cheers!
