Short version is they had a bad paypal hacking type of event about 6 months ago. They shut down for about 3 months after that, then came back up as "members only", which is for people who already had accounts there and had ordered in the past. They're supposed to be offering up new memberships for a fee at some point, but they haven't done that yet. My guess is they are just too busy with everything else they do - the webshop was always more of a fan service, so they're likely focused elsewhere.

You can send them an email, but I've heard others have tried and nothing... likely just need to wait for the public enrollment type of thing. If it makes you feel better though, the shop offerings have been pretty stagnant lately.

 

Nope. I've been ordering overseas for years - no problems with either of those guys (or Struise). Theoretically speaking there is always a risk ordering international, but the odds are heavily in your favor. Shipping costs are a bitch, but you will almost definitely end up with what you ordered.

 

Struise webshop was without UPS shipper since last February due to technical problems. These problems are behind us and UPS is back. While the Belgian Post seems to be unbeatable at 5KG, UPS is the better deal from 10KG on. Check it out in your shopping cart, all shipper possibilities are always present. You can choose the most cheapest one yourself... :-)
