Dead rotten mouse (mice?) in mash tun!

    My thoughts exactly. Although I would add: if I found two mice in my mash tun, I would be pretty sure there were at least a dozen more running around my garage. So before I did any brewing I'd be setting some traps.

    I think a Gotlandsdricka aged on mummified rodents sounds like a very authentic rendition of a traditional Viking beverage.

    Rat Feces is an absolute must in any spontaneous fermentation. That I know is true. :sunglasses:

    The logical side of me says you are right, but I just gotta say I admire your intestinal fortitude. I would spend for the new plastic, and soak the metal parts in PBW solution at a minimum because I just don't have the inner strength to ever again mash in a tun that I found in that condition.

    Just take out the mouse(mice) and be sure to bottle the beer in them. Problem solved.

    I wouldn't re-use it unless it was stainless. Coolers are pretty cheap.
