More sad news out of Victory. Both St Boisterous, the brand's mighty Maibock, and St Victorious, one of the best American Doppelbocks (IMO), are no longer being made available in bottles. Add this to the sadly departed Old Horizontal, and Victory's obesession with Headwaters Pale Ale, I'm losing faith in this brand, and their seemingly shift towards a big-business mentality. It's only a matter of time before Moonglow bites the bullet.

What are your biggest disappointments with respect to recent retirements?

Old Horizontal was the biggest loss, IMO.

A very underappreciated beer in my opinion.

I'm really pissed off with Victory, and I have to say, this is really the first time I have been pissed off at a brewery. I'm really sick of the boner they have over Headwaters. It's all they talk about.

Headwaters is my jam, and I never liked St Boisterous or Old Horizontal anyway, but no more St Victorious? Now I'm a little pissed.

Wow, in the last 6 months I have been picking up random seasonal beers from Victory and St Victorious was my favorite, really sad news, I just figured that I would be able to pick up more when the next release rolled around...

    Haha, he said "boner!"

I hope the MN locals don't start pulling crap like this. I know some were a little upset when summit made changes to their lineup, but most think it was for the better. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem Victory's moves have garnered the same sentiment.
