I heard someone got enough bottles to cover the ceiling in their kids room to make it appear like the night sky.

Had you not been lying and had 8 bottles they'd be gone by now cause someone (I know where you live!) would've broke in to steal 'em :stuck_out_tongue:

Does CC always mark their package dates on cans? I have a 6-pack of Tropicalia a friend brought me back from Athens and I don't see a package date on any of the cans.

its a sticker on the rings, so it could have been knocked off. If he got it in athens it is probably pretty fresh.

I just bought some at an Athens Kroger Saturday. It was packaged 9/16. Yours could possibly be even fresher as OP said his was packaged 9/23.

Our current stickers sometimes have problems staying on, we're sorry about that. Having a date code, letting you know how fresh that beer is, is super important to us. You definitely need to know when your beer was packaged and when it is out of date, however being a young brewery it was hard for us to afford a better option when we started canning. We're working on getting printing options on the cans for the future. Cheers!

No worries at all, I'm sure it is fresh and it is tasting great as always! I look forward to the day that I can buy some here in Savannah, hopefully next year!

No. It's a long story but we passed a law this year that allowed it but the DoR put out some crazy revisions that reversed some of the law's benefits. But, in short, no 6-pks at Creature Comforts right now.

I heard something about that and that's why I asked. Thanks for letting me know. I was planning on traveling to Athens today to pick up some tropicalia and athena but I guess I won't be. Do they sit on the shelves in beer stores at all?

The biggest bottle shop in Athens is Five Points, they've got a great overall selection but seem to run out of Trop a good bit. However, most random has stations there will have it. I stopped in a Shell station there a couple weeks ago and they had at least 6 cases. I've heard Kroger usually keeps a good stock as well. If you make the drive over you should be able to find both Trop and Athena.

Kroger on Alps and ABC package on Atlanta Hwy have always been good to me

Kroger on Alps is out of Trop (trust me, I work there), but Five Points definitely has some, as does Earth Fare, a grocery store right next to it. If you do come to town, you should be able to leave with as much Trop and Athena as you'd like. Kroger also still has a few bottles of Dayspring, and CC's new pale ale, Automatic, will be on draft all around town today.

I was just at Kroger 10 min ago and they had a stack of cases (minus1) in the walk in cooler. 5 pts. Lumpkin has some now as well
