Dear MN Brewers Guild; RE: Winterfest 2018

    Please consider moving the date of Winterfest 2018. I would prefer not having to dodge out-of-towners going to their Maxim pre-parties let alone not being able to afford a hotel room in the area or watching the Depot fill up with clueless football fans who will treat it as a all-you-can-drink party instead of enjoying it for what it is.

    But then maybe the NFL can strong-arm the MN legislature into allowing TG and others to be distributed here just for that weekend!

    Isn't Winterfest usually in the last weekend of January? Super Bowl LII will be on Feb 4 I believe.

    Nope, back in 2008 the Guild moved it to Fridays and in 2010 they lined it up to be the same Friday of Super Bowl weekend. For the past few years now I've remembered attending on Friday, recovering on Saturday, and then back at it again on Sunday.

    Winterfest 2018 will cost upwards of $300 at the pace they are going.
