Exactly what @denver10 said regarding breweries to visit and those to miss. The only change I have is I'd do Tap N Handle and skip Mayor.

Echo the tour comment with NBB. Hit up the tour and then move on. The taproom & patio are underwhelming and the taproom-only options are limited and hit/miss. The tour is awesome and there's lots of free beer.

The only new brewery that I think is worth a quick stop is Snowbank which is on your way from Odell to H&D/Funkwerks... Pop in there instead of FCB.

I'm with @MtnSoup on not thinking DBC is worth seeking out, I was incredibly underwhelmed. Flame on.

Funkwerks is just south-east of Odells (Lincoln ave?).

I don't know if I'd skip Fort Collins Brewery, though. It would be a good place to grab a bite and their beers have improved over the last 2 years (and their labels!)

I will concede that they do have really good food.

I've seen the old stovepipes laying around but has anyone seen the new 4packs (brown label) in the wild around Denver? Looking to do some 12oz curls with the fresh batch.

I've only seen the stove pipes at Lukas and Payless. Lukas indicated they only could get stove pipes.. Not sure where these guys are but if you find some let us know!

I've seen the 12 oz in Longmont. Would assume it would be in Denver soon, if not already.

Got some in Fort Collins last week. 12oz cans have that dank coconut taste like the first batch had.

I genuinely like FCB. They're one of the few breweries left that has true malt depth like many central European breweries.
Their issue is that they can't seem to make up their mind what they want to do. They used to make almost nothing but German lagers and would toss rauchmalz into nearly everything. Then they started expanding into English strong styles. Now they're specializing in American flagship-style offerings. The beers are still good, they just can't make up their mind what theme they want to stick with. While they're sometimes ignored here, they have a large presence in other parts of the country - places Odell, FW, and even NB might not be in.

I've always thought FCB was a little mediocre, but of course I like New Belgium so opinions vary. They have had pretty good consistency from what I've tasted though. They seem to have a good business sense as well.
In Fort Collins check out Equinox, Black Bottle, Horse and Dragon, and Funkwerks if you want some of the smaller/lesser knows places. I know these have all been mentioned at different points in this thread. 1933 isn't bad but I don't remember any standout beers from my first visit there.

It is in stores in the 4Corners area, so I'd be surprised if it isn't already hitting shelve in/around Denver. 4pk/12oz for roughly $11.50...Gotta say, I was actually disappointed in this one. smelled good, but didn't get much coconut flavor and the beer seemed really thin/watery.

Yeah, by "next week" I meant this week because of the way my head works. Coors was supposed to see it in the warehouse this past Thursday or Friday.

Looks like the 4-packs just hit Lukas per the book of faces.

[IMG] I've finally got my hands on the. 12oz cans and I gotta say they are a step above the stovepipes I've had that were canned in sept. These cans are 10/23 and have that coconut flavor I've been dreaming of. will be grabbing more for sure..
