No. They don't need approval to sell at JK. Only offsite.

Everything I've seen lists it at 17.8%.

And you appear to be correct based on the label approval

Both are batch #1 with different bottle dates.

IF they are both B1, why do they vary in alcohol by that much

Awesome. Spencer Trappist Ale. I would like to try the only American certified Trappist brewery. Wonder when it will be down here....

They told me they were hoping by the year end. I wouldn't be surprised if it is this month or January.

Avery has in the past used a label template to show an upcoming release via beer websites. However the bottle date and ABV were incorrect. This is what likely happened with one of these Tweak labels.

I had it while visiting Boston this summer. It's not a style I drink often but I enjoyed it.

In addition to Tweak, I'd really like to try this one:
Ballast Point – Whiskey Barrel Aged Victory at Sea (K)

Spencer is doing a large bottle format as well? I did not know that. I've only had it in the 12 oz(?) bottle.

I was surprised to see that as well.

From what I recall, Spencer is around $16.50 for a 4-pack up in Boston. It's good, but it sits on shelves in every store because the price is a little high...I personally would rather pick up a 4-pack of Abt 12 for around the same price. One store was offering free glassware if you bought a 4-pack.

I think CBS is going to be draft only and the kegs will be sent to specific locations, aka good accounts, aka not Texas
