Anyone been to Deciduous Brewing in Newmarket, NH yet? I've been a few times now and I'm really liking what I am seeing and tasting. I've enjoyed everything so far but the Auroral (the Berlinerweisse) is definitely a favorite.

It's the perfect location to go there, Dover (For Garrison City Beerworks), then shoot over to Portsmouth.

I'd like to hear what others thought of it.

Sounds like a perfect pregame for UNH hockey.

Makes a fine stop on a NH coastal loop for me - twice now. Have enjoyed all the beers so far, especially the porter.

Add a stop at Stoneface on your way to Portsmouth down the Spaulding Turnpike/Route 16 and that's a good little trip!

Just wanted to say that based on this thread and some other mentions in this forum, I stopped by Deciduous last Friday. Really good beer and a good variety of styles - I was particularly impressed with the berliners. The owners also couldn't have nicer. I highly recommend it!

Also stopped in Friday - really enjoyed the Lambent, and porter. The pumpkin Lambent I didn't care for - an irony, rusty finish from the molasses.

I've been twice so far. Took home the porter and something else the first time; Last time, I brought home the imperial gose and the double IPA. I liked the gose more. Don't read anything into that w/r/t the quality of the double, it was just my preference of the two.

I also picked up two bottles of Introspection. Anyone had it yet?

I picked up a few bottles of Introspection and sampled it about a week ago. Surely a different twist on an imperial stout but the flavors were smooth and it was better as it warmed. It should age nicely.

I cracked one last week. I got a pretty unpleasant medicinal/burnt tire thing from the brett. The base beer was pretty tasty though, you definitely get the adjuncts. Kind of wish he stuck with a clean fermentation.

Got the exact same rubber taste. Mine was not subtle at all unfortunately. Gonna let it age a little bit and see if its better.

Bummer on those last two reviews. Hopefully this is a beer that gets better for your tastes with age.

I bought two and plan to crack them with friends and/or family over the holidays or after the new year. Something about colder weather & shorter days makes drinking a dark beer with a name like Introspection a little more appropriate.

I read elsewhere Dave saying the almonds played more oddly than anticipated with the phenols.

Reading through this thread and I'm reminded of the early days at White Birch. Seems to be going for variety and creativity rather than consistency early on.

Dave should bring back Stockholm Syndrome from his BL days. Loved that beer.

Agreed. Definitely the standout I had from BL apart from Little Lobster on the Prairie.

Those 2 plus Excess: Galaxy.....that last batch he brewed before he left was up there with the best IPA's I've tried.

I finally made it over there. Nice little place and super friendly folks. Very low key, only a few people milling around drinking tasters. I tried a few tasters and took home quite a few growlers. So far I've tried the Auroral, Aggregation, Agricultural, Arose, and Cumulation.

First off too many of the beer names start with A. I can't keep em straight ;-). I thought they were all good but the Auroral and Arose stood out to me. I'm a huge fan of Berliners and Pales in the summer but with the weather we're having, and my stout burn out, these were a great change of pace. Arose had a citrus flavor and nice sweet finish. Auroral was nice and tart with a subtle orange flavor. Really nice beers.

I just moved and I'm a half hour from this place, so I think I'll be heading over there pretty regularly. NH is on the way up!!

Dave's been doing a great job of giving updates on FB as far as releases and tweaking recipes. He just released bottles of a brett grisette and bottles of the porter variants are up and coming. Looking forward to trying the tweaked pale ale and ipa.
