Hey all, first post in the forums but have been on BA for a while now. I will be in Worcester MA on Saturday and will be heading to Armsby Abbey (http://armsbyabbey.com/) for a few hours which boasts 22 taps and 120 bottles. I've scoped the site and would like to have some sort of a game plan of what I want to have.

I'm mostly digging IPAs/DIPAs and Stouts/Imp. Stouts right now, some faves being Stone Ruination, Lagunitas IPA, Maximus, Little Sumpin Sumpin and Cappucino Stout, etc... I haven't been into Belgians for a while but they carry 6 of the 7 trappist so I figured I should include one. I've also never tried a barleywine so thought I might venture to. Here is my list, I doubt I'll get more than 3 or 4 deep maximum, so I need help choosing and coming up with a good order to have them in, cheers!
Bear Republic Big Bear (american double/imperial stout - 8.1%)
Sixpoint Spice of Life - Simcoe (american ipa - 6.5%)
Mikkeller Beer Hop Breakfast (american stout - 7.5%) <-- really wanting to try this one
Firestone Walker XV (barleywine based blend - 12.5%)
    Founders Breakfast Stout (double/imperial - 8.3%)
    Maybe one trappist:
    Rochefort 10 (quad - 11.3%)
    Westmalle Tripel (9.5%)
    Barley Wines
2008 Olde School, Dogfish Head Brewery, Delaware, 15.0%
2008 BB10, Birrificio Barley, Italy, 10.0% (750ml) <-- might want to avoid the big 750 since I'm looking for variety

Big bear is available at any store, skip it on tap and grab a bottle.

Check out the Beer Hop Breakfast, the FBS, and the XV though.

Westmalle and Roche are also both available in bottles everywhere. I'd pass.
Go with the olde school- 4 years should have done some nice things- beware of the ABV though. It's a hot beer any way you slice it.

And get someone to drive you, you'll be tore up after those beers!

IMHO, you can't miss the Hop Breakfast and the FBS. Amongst trappists I'd say Rochefort and for BW I'd go with Dogfish.

    Enjoy!

i'd go with the FBS and FW15 myself. if you want to try a trappist def take the rochefort10, but you can find that pretty easily in stores.

I would go with the Founders Breakfast Stout, Firestone Walker 15, Rochefort 10. Some really nice beers right there, so you can't go wrong with any choices.

Founders Breakfast Stout, Beer Hop Breakfast, Rocherfort (any of them). That would be one good evening. Firestone XV if you really want to treat yourself.

So here was my set list, thanks all for the input. They were out of the FW15, too bad since it was only $40, lol...

    Founders Breakfast Stout
    Dogfish 2008 Olde School Barleywine
Mikkeller Hop Breakfast Stout - split in 2
Dogfish World Wide Stout - split in 2

Net effect = me being totally plastered, lol. All were entirely delicious.
