I looked up the brewery that The Abominator was made in and they've closed for business!

Been seeing Deep Ellum slowly creeping into Austin... good to hear they got a bottling line.

Home Field Grill in Round Rock does a "Buy the Beer, Keep the Glass" night every Wed., and tonight they're featuring Deep Ellum Double Brown Stout. Just FYI

Great read and the article mentions that Mattingly Brewing Company is closed.

Howdy folks. Thanks for sharing here, Chad. MBC shuttered its doors over two years ago, however, I would not be shocked if we made a small batch of the Abominator sometime in the sprawling future.
Speaking of Austin, I'm headed that way with a truck full of beer for a few events at Hopfields & Alamo Drafthouse Cinema at the Village location.

I had the chance to meet you guys and drink your beer at Black Star a while back, and it was EXCELLENT. I had the 2X Rye and the Chocolate Cherry Stout, and loved them both. Anxiously awaiting the opportunity to have more of your beer.

Since you are already making the long commute from Dallas to Austin, why not drop some off at the SA Drafthouse? Could use a growler fill of your Chocolate Cherry Stout. :grinning:

Crazy to think we will have the IPA in bottles soon. Going to be my go-to brew for years to come.

I wish i could say that OPal divines marina had the good deep ellum stuff. I cant remember exactly what it was but it was during beer week and it was above average but not as good as some report so im sure it was just the not so sought after line. dont get me wrong, waht ever i had was good, just not overwhelmingly good like others have had the chance to get. Course, i dont make it out as often to other areas of Austin as i really should. Keep up the good work and hopefully ill get my ass out to have the great ones!

Had a Wealth and Taste at The Moth today. Was very, very tasty. Best offering from these cats that I have tried so for.
Really looking forward to what we can see come from this brewery in the future.

I've only had the wit, ipa, double brown, and darkest hour. The ipa and darkest hour were both really good. The wit and double brown were just a step up from the norm. I think they have tons of potential just need to fill that out. They could easily be one of the top 5 or even top 3 here in Texas. They really just need to keep up the progress and start bottling more.

I really need to get the double ipa next time it comes around.

Tried that Weath and Taste. Tasty beer, to me it was like drinking a glass of Chardonnay. Wine drinkers would really love it.

Enjoyed everything we tried today. Farm House Wit is a nice one , very tasty on such a warm day. The IPA was appropriately hoppy, and Dallas Blonde was also nicely mild and smooth. Can't wait to go back!

Wealth and Taste was outstanding. Hopefully they use their small barrel area for equally great concoctions
