I've spent a fair amount of time questioning this brewery's QC, consistency, and dedication, but this beer is outstanding.

Really impressed by their rendition of my favorite style. Spicy, lightly hoppy, robust, and well-made. Wish it were bottled so I could age one.

Anyone know if Drew took the recipe or if the brewery plans to remake the beer?

Don't know the answer to any of this but I had this for the second time at Hay Merchant yesterday and agree that it is awesome!!

It's damn good. I would have gotten even more of it if DH didn't have such good stuff around at that time. I certainly wouldn't mind having some more, though.

I would expect he knows how to reproduce this beer but considering his plans are not final about what comes next it would be at least a year or more before we see it ready again.

I have a keg or two in storage at work. Hoping to do a TX BW flight at some point with Treehugger, Tenderfoot, NC, and The Duke

    ......No?

Fine yes it is. Don't you take it all before I can get another glass. Shit I may just go get a growler. Any have experience on how long Hay Merchant Growlers stay good or how well they pour them (as in are they flat a day later or do they maintain fairly well)?

And where do you work good sir?

Screwtop Jugs... I can't say f'sure if they hold up well but, I can't see it happening - I could be wrong.

I wish I woulda know it was there last night, I woulda went there instead of D&T.

Anybody know how much they are charging per pour? - That "full snifter for $6" love at Petrol spoiled me.

Usually Barleywines don't have much carb to begin with. A tap pour growler fill will probably last a week at most.

Kinda what I figured and why I didn't get a fill since I have enough to drink in the near future. Now if Growlers put that stuff on I don't think I could pass since it would probably hold for a more extended period of time...

As far as price Im not sure. Actually the way I had it was a friend ordered it right before I showed. Didn't like it and handed it to me like "Here try this shitty crazy beer" took one sip and go "Oh I love Numb Comfort!". I drank the rest...

Numb Comfort is bad ass, that and Dream Crusher are my favorites from Deep Ellum. I loved Numb Comfort since it's not overly sweet. it's just right.

Don't think there is mass hysteria anywhere in the thread. Some people have really liked it, count me in that group.. But it's young and to me needs a couple years before it starts to meld together.

Sure wished they had bottled some
