    Oh my fucking yes!!!

If only I could walk down to Sunset and have a beer with Matt and Laney after 2023 would truly win. To be back in the days of all my friends and shows around Allston

Ya know what would have been cool? Having BOTH Deep Ellum and The Gaff.

it's like a 20 minute Commuter Rail ride from North Station. (10 from Porter Square) Probably quicker than taking a bus or Green Line out to Allston these days.

Now THAT would be quite the block.

Good to know. I just miss the DE/Lone Star double dip. Can’t say hopping on a commuter rail to drink beer is that tempting.

I dunno, taking the Downeaster to Thompson’s point is pretty awesome.

But yeah, as much as I love Notch it’s a pain in the ass to get to Allston/Brighton via public transit.

I don’t really think Waltham is all much easier either though.

Love it. Springing for business class on the Downeaster is the pro move. It's only $10 extra and you get more legroom and drinks delivered to your seat.

Not quite as awesome, but I sometimes take the commuter rail to Worcester to go to Armsby Abbey. When Dive Bar was open you could sit in their back patio, watch the train roll into the station and get up to the platform in less than 5 minutes.

I'm not far from Porter Square so I'll have to try the Fitchburg line -> Deep Ellum ride sometime soon!

See, I think I would opt for coach still. You can buy beers for the ride home from Bissell and easily have some drinks on there yourself. Although I think they're selling Bissell on the Downeaster now.

I thought about taking the commuter rail out to Worcester, good to know someone has done it on these boards.

Don't forget you'll pass Brewer's Tap and Table on your walk from the train stop. Solea for tapas/cava and Little India for awesome Indian. If the weather is nice, Margarita's has a great patio on the riverfront to enjoy a mexican lager.

Moody Street today is what Davis Square was like 20 or so years ago, I'd contend

Other than Redbones, what was as appealing as something like Brewer's Tap and Table or Solea in Davis in 2003?

Last time I went to Brewers tap they had HF and Trillium on draft. Pretty solid list overall.

It's insane how common Hill Farmstead (and Trillium to some degree) is in the Boston area now.

I've seen Hill (and it's been sitting at these places) at Long Cross, Olde Magoun's, Brewer's Fork, Row 34, Five Horses, Elm Street Taproom, Warren Tavern, Monument Restaurant, Mystic Station...insane. That's just off the top of my head.
