Bought mine in MN. I have 2-4 packs of BCBS. One 4 pack is fine, may be a little short on the fill (Batch 1414). With the other 4 pk, I see what people are talking about with the bottle quality. I see pitting/bubbles in all 4 bottles. One has a "seam" that runs the length of the bottle, but is curved. Looks like a crack but you can tell it was created during the manufacturing of the bottle. Also seems be be a bit low on the fill (Batch 1448) Happy to report No Mold.
Over all, I think I got some good bottles that will be in my cellar for a long time. Good luck and cheers.

Just cracked one of my bottles. No mold but the cap was stuck to the bottle. Looks like glue or something is on the bottle top. Tastes great though.

Norcal reporting here. No mold or bottling issues for bcbs or any of it's variants. 13.8% version of bcbs, btw.

It's all defective this year, guys. Especially Vanilla Rye. For the sake of your own safety, don't buy it.

On a serious note, the BCBBW 4 pack and BCBS 4 pack bottles have the odd seams on the side of them that many reported, but I see no mold, cap issues, short fills or cracks in the glass. My Vanilla Rye bottle looks ok, too.

Just checked the fridge. There's a tiny scratch in the glass of my BCBBW, but nothing liquid-threatening. No mold, cracks, or odd seams on any other bottles- Vanilla Rye from Chicago, or regular in Wisconsin. Don't recall there being any in the Coffee I picked up in Chicago, either. They are pristine and beautiful.

In 1 bottle of my coffee there is a huge dimple in the glass, its pretty weird.

I got one four pack of BCBS, and all four bottles seem ok, except one bottle has a definite flat side. Can't comment on any iron taste, as I'm not drinking any of them until my birthday on Saturday.

You'll have to look at the full image size for each of these. Top one is 13.8, bottom one is 14.4.

The gov't allows for .3% variation between stated ABV and actual.

Goose brews the base beer for Bourbon County in several batches, and each can vary in ABV. Then, the barrel contribution to ABV can vary.

    With 2 labels - 13.8% and 14.4%, they're covered for anything from 13.5% - 14.7%.

I bought my four pack in the L.A. area and I noticed a couple small spots of mold on one bottle and some glass defects on the neck of three of them. My pack is 14.4%.

Got from 2 diff. stores, a total of 3 4paks so far, all 13.8, all filled nice, all glass okay, and no mold.

Can someone send me BCBS, BCBCS, and Vanilla Rye so I can do some comparative examination of the, errr uhhhh, glass?

That would not allow me to make sure that the contents haven't been degraded by potential bottle defects and mold, so, no, full ones are what is needed here:wink:
