Just curious if this subculture within a subculture within a subculture exists out there somewhere  My girlfriend and I are both glassware collectors (dangerous game, I know). She makes a point of buying glassware with (mostly) superficial defects, such as bubbles, wavy rims, etc. wherever possible. Anyone else like their glasses with a little bit of "character"? Has anyone ever specifically requested or searched out such a thing?

I have a HF glass with a line through the etching and I also have a Tørst glass w/ a wavy rim. Never specifically tried to get others like these though.

haha my torst glasses are like that as well, neither are circular on the top- pretty funny when you look down on them.

Never encountered anything too interesting. I would buy one of it was double labeled or something like that.

Helms in San Diego has a batch of fluted glasses with bad wobbly bases if you were looking for something like that.

I have a hill farmstead festival glass that is all kinds of messed up, the stem is not centered on the bulb of the glass, and its bent, the etching is at a poor angle and the base is also a bit uneven, still love it though
