I give credit where credit is deserved. Nobody does does the Anerican Lager style better tha Bud, Miller and Coors. Especially Due to the quantity that they make and being able to still make it so consistent batch after batch after batch. Not ashamed to say I still partake in the occasional beer from them even after drinking craft beer since 2000.

Apparently some people don't know what makes an average beer in this thread. If we are going by BeerAdvocate ratings only 70 to 79 is classified average. 80 is considered good, mid 80s is considered great. I saw people mention Miller High Life, Heineken and Coors Light. All those are considered poor beers on here based on ratings.

This is unless of course people are considering those average beers based on their own ranking system. In that case I wonder what they consider a poor beer.

Shipyard Pumpkinhead. Was the first pumpkin beer I ever tried, and although I've had better pumpkin beers it's not as bad people make it out to be. I think the pumpkin pie spices are solid. After a few swigs it becomes a little bland, but I still think for the style it's alright.

I brought a 12 pack of fat tire to the family xmas party last year and it was gone in 20 minutes. I have a big family.

I drink a boat load of Bud Lite lime in the summer. I can understand why a lot of people can't stand the tuff, but for me, I like lite summer beers, and I like margaritas, and it's knd of just a cross between the two. Nice and thirst quenching on a hot summer day. Goes down easy an fast, just like a good woman.

I'm going with Rolling Rock in cans. By far the best AAL and 9.99 for 18 cans sounds like a good day on the pier to me.

I actually kinda dug the Dundee English Style Ale from Genesee. Thought it was pretty tasty for a lower abv beer of that style.

Totally agree on the Harpoon IPA and I also find that the Long Trail offerings fit in this same category.
$7 for a six pack and it is not a kick ass craft but it is a lot better than a BMC.

Sam Adams Cream Stout...sure, it doesn't have lactose in it, but it's a damn good sweet stout, and hey, it's freaking $6.99 a six pack! Um...when it's time for an English-style, regular-gravity stout...hit me up!

Dude...I agree with you that it's a great deal. But I don't think that's an average/mediocre beer. I think it's one of SA's better beers.

Yup, pretty much. And I live on the RI/Mass border so it takes me 5 minutes to get to Mass. That's the perk of living in a small state, Conn and Mass have different beers in their distribution than RI does. I can drive 10 minutes and get all the DFH, FW, Troegs & Alesmith I want.

Too many to count, I mostly drink "mediocre" or "bad" beers according to a lot of people. I yam what I yam. Plus, a lot of people have already said the things I'd say about Yuengling anyway, which would be my choice to defend. Such a solid beer.

Probably Shiner Bock or PBR. Neither are anything special, but both are good when you're sitting outside on a balcony for a few hours in the middle of summer with a bunch of friends.
