Personally I love to drink Tecate. I know it's an import and not great but I drank a lot of it in college and still enjoy it from time to time. In my opinion it's just as good as a Corona and goes great by the pool.

Hamms is the worst ever. In college my room mate would buy it and I wouldn't drink it. He did a blind taste test for me with 4 other beers and it was easy to pick it out. That was 20 yrs ago and I can still taste that rank beer. Now Point Special, that's a quality beer!

PBR. I always keep a few cans on me. Whenever a hipster starts to get too close I'll toss one into some bushes or through a door and lock it.

    Genny Lager.

Just bought a 30 pack for $10. Super cheap, and after some exercise out in the sun, it's extremely refreshing.

    O
"On the Beamish with the pensioners and taxi drivers!" My line when I spent a summer in Cork. At the time Beamish was .15 pence cheaper.

Being a drummer in broke metal bands most of my life, Coors Light was part of a stable diet... so I'll defend it for about 1.2secs.

I can easily down a 6 pack of Lone Star . I think it's very sessionable and very cheap! I also have to include Mickeys Big Mouth. On a hot day, an ice cold Mickeys is hard to beat. They also include a different picture-riddle under each bottle cap. I've also discovered that the more of them that I drink, each riddle becomes increasingly more difficult to solve.

My dad turned me onto Mickey's many, many years ago, he used to drink half of it in one huge gulp and then fill the barrel back to the top with V8 juice. I've had it that way many times since.

In a way, my dad intro'ed me to Mickey's too. When I was a kid, I would sneak a couple gulps of his when he got up to take a leak.

Fat Tire. It a good drinking beer. In fact it should be the world standard for 5/10 dead average beer.

PBR. Nothing better than the Red, White, and Blue when tailgating in the fall. Goes well with brats and burgers and allows you to maintain your buzz through the long day without getting housed. I attempted 'gating once with craft and it didnt end well. Also the local burrito shop in Missoula had $1 Tallboys when we used to live there.

I'm going to say Hobnobber by Full Pint. For what it is, a 4% ABV session IPA, I think it is delicious. I took it out on the golf course for my most recent round with a 6 pack of other low alcohol brews, including All Day IPA, Unita Wyld, Otter Creek Hop Session, and Heavy Seas Pale. For me, Hobnobber was the winner. I have since purchased another 6 pack for light drinking occasions. Really good stuff.

This silly idea comes from the new Teen/Novice division of BA. Sometimes they mistakenly post in the Adult section.

Blue Moon. You can get it basically anywhere on tap now. It's very refreshing with a few oranges in it. Most people will "venture" out and drink blue moon at pool parties. There are a quite a few times an almost frozen blue moon in a frosted mug sounds better than anything else.

Guinness. I have a soft spot because this was what I drank when I turned 21 and close friends and I would have Guinness pint night once a week during college and it's a great memory. Sometimes I want a dark beer thats fairly light and Guinness really hits the spot at times.

Well, you can do a hell of a lot better too.

Why drink that junk when you could have a craft pilsner with the about the same abv. They're light and crisp and have real flavor.
I'll never understand why so many here use hot weather as a rationalization for drinking crap beer.

PBR tastes just as crappy as the "other crap beers" you're talking about. I'll bet you think it's better because you like the retro-cool label.

Sure you can do better but that wasn't the OP point of the thread.

Most guys here bitch when they want a craft beer and it's too cold. It's 90 here today and it's hot, a cold Miller Lite would be just fine. You take a BMC make it damn near freezing and it's great for pounding when your sweating like a hog. I don't usually drink PBR, if I'm going Lite I do Lite, if I want something better I have a ton of IPA's and BCBS sitting around to sip on. Everything in their place.

If I liked retro I would be drinking a beer that was made much longer ago. Perhaps Guinness which was introduced in 1759, Leffe Blonde which might have been made in the 12th or 13th century, or maybe even the oldest American brewery which is Yuengling. Hardly retro considering it is relatively young compared to other breweries.

Now I too will put a stupid smiley face at the end of my post :sunglasses:
