Sure, I'll bite. I'll defend Miller Lite. (That wasn't supposed to rhyme, but I won't complain). Not their commercials; I'm trying to determine if the "NEW BOTTLE!" design includes Vortex Grooves, because clearly they are cranking out bottle technology revolutions at a pace that would shame Edison.

No, the actual beer. It's not great; it's not particularly good. But I can get it cold, on tap, everywhere; it goes down easy and pairs well with a good burger or steak; and holy crap is it better than Bud. To me, Bud (heavy or lite) always tastes skunky. I don't like Coors. But Miller Lite? A little bit of wheat flavor, easy to drink, nothing offensive (yes, I realize it's difficult to have an "offensive taste" if you don't first have, well, "taste," but for me, Budweiser does accomplish that rather impressive paradox).

So there you go: my impassive, half-hearted, but still genuine defense of a very mediocre beer.

Definitely Double Agent IPL. By far the most drinkable beer I have ever had.

Jon Boat is a kolsch made by Intuition out of Jacksonville FL. On this site it gets a 3.18 average as of right now, which is a bit below average for craft if you use my system (3= average for all beer, 3.5= average for most craft). My friends and I love it. It's the perfect session beer. It comes in cans, it has a floury slightly toasty slightly sour biscuity note in both the aroma an the palate like an actual yummy southern buttermilk biscuit and is so refreshing and easy drinking and clean. Each tasty sip really invites the next. It's a completely different beer on tap, we all agree, and none of us want it that way. Tried it on tap several places several times and it's just not the same. But in cans it's great. At the bar it's usually sold in cans for cheaper than a pint of something on tap. A cooler of cans of it is perfect for your party, indoors or out. I was really surprised to see its relatively lower-than-predicted score here. It's nothing fancy but really fills the bill every time for casual hanging out. A well done beer that deserves more love I think.

Henry Weinhard's (Full Sail lol) Private Reserve, Blue Boar and Woodland Pass IPA...always tasty, always cheap. Sometimes 7.99 a 12'er.

You can do worse than an ice cold Pabst on a hot day. Emphasis on ice cold like most BMC stuff make it cold enough and it doesn't matter.

Labatt's is super tasty when I'm fishing in Canada. Especially when I'm out while it's raining and catching nothing but weeds.

    Blue Moon.

Rated at 78%. Very easy to find, inexpensive, and a great introduction to craft beer. Probably my go-to beer if someone wanted to try something a bit craftier than Bud or Coors Light.

Breckenridge Summer Bright. Very clean, low ABV brew with nice lemongrass and citrus notes. Plus it's sold in cans as well as bottles. It's my summer go-to. Of course this is almost pointless, each person had their own taste preference ... To each his/her own.

Man, there are so many mediocre beers out there, that over the years shaped and molded me into the man I am today. I'm not saying that "yeah, when I was younger I drank crap beer, but now I only drink the good stuff." In fact, I associate many great memories and experiences from my history with said mediocre beer. Becks, Yuengling, Bud heavies and High Life were all around during my formative years of beer drinking, whether at the tale end of high school, or through my years of consumption at college, or perhaps most important, in my two years of grad school, where Bud heavies came through huge when I could only really hit "$2 bud night" in an expensive beer city (Chicago). Sure, now I predominantly drink what I consider to be good beer, but I also would not be who am I today with out the experiences shared with the mediocre stuff.

I'll go with Yuengling Lord Chesterfield as well. It seems to only ever taste right out of cans anymore, though. I haven't had a non-skunked bottle of Chet in some time.

Honestly the OP took the words out of my mouth. Harpoon IPA. I am frigging thrilled that they're canning now.
