Yes, I can check older threads, but , what are the "hot breweries" near Seaford? Visiting my parents this weekend...also will be at Rehoboth Beach...will have NJ locals if you are looking to trade...of course my favorite style is like everyone else...NE style IPAs...cheers...
Was just gonna say Revelation. Your only other option in Rehoboth is DFH, really. DFH is launching a new beer called Lupu Luau on Friday. I'll be down there partaking in it all as well.
Mispillion has been banging out some good stuff lately. Seaford isn't far from 3rd Wave in Delmar either. They just had their first can release this past weekend, a tripple dry hooped DIPA. Dark, danky, and a solid DIPA. (Not too hazy though.)
To add on to the 3rd Wave recommendation.... you might as well hit Evolution in Salisbury since it's only 15 more mins further (3rd Wave brews in Evo's old spot)... after Evolution you're only 30 mins out from Burley Oak and that's about 45-60 minutes back to Seaford. Easy to make a full trip out of.
I love RAR but they've been limited on beers on tap the past few months, so I would say Burley. The other day for the Ice Cream Seas release, they had 5 beers on tap. Sounds like July should have some more new stuff though.
Didnt want to start a new thread so I'll just add on here. Going to be in Rehoboth Tuesday-Thursday. Any new bars open up since last year or any bars start specializing more in craft beer, other than Henlopen Oyster Bar, in the area? I'll be hitting the Oyster Bar like usual but looking for new spots to hit at night.
Rehoboth Ale House looks like it was recently renovated. They have a nice selection of craft beers on draft when I was there, including some RAR stuff. Also, the new Dogfish Head pub is gorgeous and they had so many one-off exclusives on-tap when I was there last month. There is a place next to Fin's (small tap list, but was craft) I wanted to check out because it looked nice, but didn't. I think it's called Beachside. No idea if they have many craft, but hey it might be worth popping in.
Crust and Craft is a pretty good pizza place place on Rt. 1 with some solid craft selections - and they take reservations. I'm not sure any place in Rehoboth will match Henlopen's selections though...
That's what I figured. I go for the Oysters but stay for the beer! I'll def check that place out though. As far as distributors/beer shops go, which is the best place in your opinion? Went to one place last year I was told had the best selection in the area (cant remember the name) but found it most underwhelming.
I liked their food quite a bit, and thought the beer was average at best. Nice little spot and the staff was extremely friendly.
Stores: R & L Liquors is by far my favorite in the DE beach area as far as selection goes (a little pricey but often has tough-to-find stuff, super customer service). On the other end of the state, State Line Liquors is great too in exactly the opposite way (great prices, large selection). Also: Feel free to skip Crooked Hammock unless you're desperate for somewhere with a "family atmosphere" (which, admittedly, it does have a great atmosphere and amenities). Would say the below three are definitely recommended, in this order: Burley Oak Mispillion Revelation (note: they often offer deals if you're on a bike, I think? it's on a path between Rehobeth and Lewes) Need to check out Dewey Beer Co still.
Atlantic Liquors on Rt 1 in Rehoboth is pretty good for selection, occasionally. I've seen it be great, and I've seen it picked over. But worth the pop-in for sure.
Agreed, and also Outlet Liquors on Route 1 is worth a quick stop. I've surprisingly found some good stuff there. Most recently some Fantome which I was stoked to find.
Also, if anyone in the DE beach area has some RAR or Burley Oak stuff and wants to trade sometime this weekend, please let me know!
