Recently, I posted a trade and I believe that it was deleted since i can no longer find it...I requested 1 Assassin for 6 Blind Pigs. The trade is equal $4$, Blind Pig is brewery release only and it is a highly rated, world class IPA. I never received notification that my thread was deleted. Where did it go?

    Thanks

I saw your thread. It didn't seem serious with all the added embellishing half-joking sale pitches (or that you're serious from what other people are offering for Assasin). I'm guessing the mods thought it was a trolling post so deleted it. If you put up an ISO: Assasin FT: Blind Pig x 6, Right on $4$ without any of the sale pitches, they would probably let it stick around.

Blind Pig is not a brewery only release and most likely, no matter how many you offer up, will not draw an Assassin.

I believe you can only get bottles of Blind Pig at RR now, it is no longer being distributed in bottles. I believe you can still find it on tap though

Yup... it is frequently (almost always) on tap at a couple bars in Denver

Hm...I thought Blind Pig bottles are distributed to stores in CA, though not as frequent as Pliny the Elder.

Blind Pig kegs can be found in Portland, Denver, and Philly. In Philly, it's the same frequency as @Kramerbarthomer stated with Denver. Earlier this week, 4 bars have it on tap. Today, "only" 2: http://www.phillytapfinder.com/beer/russian-river-blind-pig/

RR said they would no longer be in distro and sold only at the brewery. Like others have said though, you can still find it on tap. I wasn't sure if that was a real post either, just based off what I've been seeing around here. If it was, more power to ya! I'd make the same trade many times over

it's still not going to land an Assassin, period

regularly available beer (brewery only or not) vs. 1,200 bottle count 1pp annual release = nope

    now, now boys...let's play nice.

valid points or not @markgugs (you did get a like in there, no?) noone really wants to see that off-topic rabbit hole.

IMO, @mythaeus hit the nail on the head.

i'll piggyback on this. @F2brewers, i had a trade post of a 12 shipper for a 3L Beat that was removed twice today. any reason why?

I can't comment on the first deletion, but I am willing to bet the second one was for the same reason as the first.

I saw your post earlier. I'm not sure why that got taken down. It seemed like a legit offer, wasn't an auction or anything like that.

That's always been one of my biggest complaints, not knowing why your threads are deleted, put in TO, etc. How are we supposed to learn and avoid doing the same thing over and over without an explantation?

On the other hand, I realize there are multiple threads a day that need to be deleted/modified and many of them are clear violations of the rules that are obvious but others are not. Please help us MODS! You guys have common sense, if its some noob looking for meads or holding an auction style ISO then I think "violations of rules" or whatever it is self explanatory but many aren't so cut and dry.

Having said all of that it's nice to see some MODS who have a personality, seem understanding and go above and beyond what many "stand up" BA's do. Like a breath of fresh air! Keep up the "new and improved" MOD'ing just tweak it hair if at all possible

sorry for the delay, but i do have a life outside of here. shocking, but true.

while i can't be sure why they were deleted, i can hazard a reasonable idea looking at your posting history:

you posted basically the same trade ~ 12 hours earlier.

IMO, if you're going to modify your trade proposal in such a small way, i suggest that you do it in the original ISO. otherwise, it looks like a bump.

i realize that's less than optimal for you, but the thought is that traders should be mindful of their ISOs and respect each other's rights and ISO posts. if we can't abide, the dreaded limit on the number of ISOs permitted each week may return.

though i rarely post an ISO, none of us want that.

i realize a lot of rule violations are not always *obvious*, but that's also why i'm the wurst: you don't get notified automatically of thread deletions (software issue). though it sucks sometime, i issue more warnings than most to let you know *and* give you the chance to ask questions.

usually, i'm pretty amenable and respond to your inquiries. if i don't, i'm sorry. if i'm sharp, i apologize too. i shouldn't be that way. that said, sometimes, i have a bad day too. i'm only (mostly) human (and part Eddie cyborg).

now then, back to having no personality and ignoring you all. i can feel your hate. it gives me strength.

wait, did i just channel Overlord? :grimacing:

yes, he's gone, but i hear his spirit lives on in a clone body. *geek* mode off.

    no worries.

as mike rowe and faith no more would say, "it's a dirty job, but someone's gotta do it."

i appreciate that you understand the reasoning.
