Any recommendations for a Place someone could grab some craft (or at least not available in the US) beers to bring back for me in Delhi? Folks visiting are staying at the Leela Palace and will likely not go too far to find it.

My experience in Delhi last year, even the more "hipster" areas, were standard domestic lager (kingfisher) or standard Euro imports. I found a lot more interesting craft in Bangalore (multiple craft breweries and everything), and Bombay.

    Best of luck! Cheers!

Mumbai has an amazing place called "Doolally" that offers a wide range of variety of craft beer, totally recommend it.

It has been awhile, but I found the beer selection in Delhi to be bleak. There are nasty super strong malt liquors that I advise avoiding. Kingfisher was everywhere. On draft, it is really pretty good for a cheap standard adjunct lager. Even has a perceptible hop presence when fresh. The closest thing to craft beer that I had was Guinness. Mostly drank imported wine or Scotch while I was in India.

After returning home, I discovered that many south Asian, including Indian, brewers use formaldehyde as a preservative, due to the fact that their products spend time without refrigeration in a hot climate. Draft might, or might not, be safer than bottles.
