    Hey all,

I've read through a bunch of the threads about best breweries/craft beer bars in Denver, and I'm very thankful for all the excellent recommendations.

I'm curious, though, about what y'all have to recommend as far as breweries/bars/restaurants for a larger group (around 12). We are a little more low-key, not looking to get too rowdy, but still want to have a good time. Most of us are craft beer geeks, and those of us who aren't are respectful people, so we wouldn't be rolling in like drunk bros off of a craft beer tour van. During the day, we're looking for something a little more chill. Also welcome are recommendations for divey/weird/fun late night bars/taverns for slightly more raucous revelry.

Also, looking for fun stuff to do in general! Here's what we have planned so far (not much, so recs welcome!):

(we're staying in LoDo area, in very close proximity to Coors Field)

    Friday
    10a - Brunch - ?
12p - something to do before Rockies game - Breweries?
    5p - Rockies game
    9:30p - After the game?

    Saturday
    10a - Brunch - Denver Central Market
    12p - 2p/3p - Breweries
4p - the 1up Arcade and Bar or Punch Bowl Social
    7p - Dinner
    10p - Bowling/Arcade/Drinks/Karaoke/Whatever?

    Sunday
    Fly out in the morning

    Thanks, all!

    Cheers

Maybe spend Friday afternoon in RiNo?

First Draft is almost a must, I think: a pour-your-own beer bar with a pretty nice selection -- they had Consecration on briefly last week. Good for big groups because everyone gets their own charge card for pours.

You'd also have Epic and Crooked Stave a couple blocks away, and River North brewing a very short Lyft ride from there. Obviously places like Falling Rock and Freshcraft are easy to get to from there as you make your way closer to the stadium.

Avant (granted, different neighborhood) would also be a good place for a large group, since it has a bunch of different food options, and people can pick whatever they want. Plus the space is huge, so even when its crowded you should be able to carve out a corner for yourselves. The beer selection is nothing special, but if you're not looking to try to find a table for 12 somewhere, could be an easy way to grab a meal without getting too organized.

First Draft is a great recommendation for a group like that!

Bierstadt Brewery (in the Rackhouse Restaurant) for lunch or dinner or just beer (C-Squared Cider is also there).

    Falling Rock before/after Rockies game.

If you like scotch, amble your way to Pints Pub. It's an English style pub/brewery; the beers are ok, but they have a very, very large selection of single malt scotches.

I think Avanit is tied to Dogfish Head, yes? It's a different kind of place, like inside food trucks and a bar. Friday/Saturday nights I'm guess would be a shi*show...but so would anything downtown. Color me jaded, too many people down yonder these-a-days for me.

I second the above recommendations, and definitely recommend Rino over Lodo for your beer geek/more low key needs.

If you're looking for a divey bar near Coors field, I would consider Star Bar. It has a surprisingly good tap list for the look of the place, and (IMO) is much more tolerable than most of the bars that close to Coors field. It's a pretty bro-ey area.

I'll add the rooftop at Crafty Fox. The food is amazing and the taplist is nearly unbeatable. It's close enough

They serve beer at La Boheme, Diamond Cabaret, and 1-Up. That's all you need.

Awesome! You guys rock! Thank you so much!

Also, if anyone else has ideas on what to do/where to eat/where to drink, I'm open to hearing more!

    Thanks again, all!

Finn's Manor is my favorite beer bar in RiNo and the Owl Bear food truck inside Finn's is one of the best in the city IMO.
Second Star Bar for a LoDo dive with great beer.
Tap 14 is a really good option for a great selection of Colorado beer in the afternoon or before a Rockies game. I tend to do everything in my power to escape LoDo before the sun goes down.

I second Star Bar for your "slightly more raucous revelry." I describe it as the 'fanciest dive bar you'll find'. Always has a great selection of taps and local spirits.

I was less than impressed with Crafty Fox the first time I visited (maybe eight months ago), but I have been back twice since then and, damn, did they up their game! Food is much improved and the draft list is one of the best in the city.

Snooze is my favorite brunch place in CO and there's a location pretty close to Coors Field! If you haven't been to one (looks like there are a few in California...) I recommend it for your Friday morning brunch. They don't accept reservations, so be prepared to wait, especially with a group of 12.. They do have free coffee (I'm a tea person and don't know if it's damn fine coffee or not...) while you wait or you could take a walk and explore the area!

You're going to be waiting for three days with a group of 12.
